I don't see any freshman in the area competing with Zac at this time...especially at the varsity level in this tough of a conference...

Does Zac start for Ironton?

He plays a lot....he might start some.

Ironton is very deep.

I watched the Fletcher kid play on JV and was completely shocked he didn't play on varsity.....hands down the best JV player I watched all season....would start on most varsity teams....and probably could for Ironton. Carter's brother was a heckuva player for Ironton for 3 or 4 years as well. Carter isn't very big......#10 was always the better player versus us.

Is Fletcher on varsity now? Will he see more time in the tourney?

He's in the varisty mix that I've seen the past 3-4 games on here. He scored about 8 in 2 minutes to beat either Gallia or Logan...I forget.

There is no JV tournament....LaFon will have even more available players.......that can actually play....not just ride the tourney wagon.

I think Peebles will have a VERY difficult time with Ironton....IMO their toughest matchup of all the possible D3 SE teams. The least upsettable IMO. If Peebles can "handle" Portsmouth...they can beat Ironton on a good day.

McBee is a TRUE freshman, and prolly one of the youngest kids in the freshman class.... I believe Burg and Ironton have some very talented freshman..I do know that both Burg and Irontons freshman went undefeated in junior high 7th and 8th grade ...

Ironton's freshmen as 8th graders posted scores over 100 points and had three kids who dunked in at least one game...they are the best group of freshmen I have ever seen in this area...Hopefully they will continue to get better...and I am sure as long as Mark Lafon and Greg Arden are there...they will continue to do well...

(At work....gotta make this quick!!)- I don't think with Arey only averaging 2.7pts per game right now that he will be able to "JUMP" right into Seaman's shoes. Sure I think he brings great energy to the court, but IMO, a whole lot of work would have to go into the summer for him to turn into Seaman by next year. I KNOW, I KNOW, I KNOW...Arey doensn't HAVE to score right now with Seaman and Justice on the court....BUT....there are tons of teams out there that have two or more people scoring 20+ pts. per game, AND have atleast a 3rd player averaging double digits. But I still think he has the ability to be a great contributor and is always fun to watch!

Don't think "cheer" said anything about jumping in. Arey needs more time, but as cheer said, he has tons of potential. From what I see, Arey doesn't have the playing time to average a lot of points at this point, especially with Justice, and Seaman, doing much of the scoring. Without Seaman next year, looks to me like he'll HAVE to join Countryman and Justice as a 'go-to' man. Like most freshmen, he has to work hard to get there, but he's got as much potential as any I've seen in a long time. Will be fun to watch this develop.

No cheer said "the one to replace Seaman next year" that's just an awful lot of pressure.

Seaman dominates!

Massie is not a hold back. He didn't start kindergarten until later because of a later birthday. So he should be right where he is. It's not like he got held back in 8th grade or anything or for sports.

"Jump," "step," "replace," "slide into"...whatever ever word you choose, Andrew Seaman is wearing a size of shoe no Indian is ready to "leap" or "walk" into this year or next. I hope Trent or someone else proves me wrong but at this point in the season I am not seeing anyone to "replace" him.
Don't get me wrong I think Arey has a ton of upside and by the time he's a senior he'll be something to watch. This is no attack, so no need to get defensive MattC. Obviously we root for the same team. Forget next year let's focus on this year...Anyone heard any news about Seamans ankle/foot--we aren't going to have to expect a replacement before the end of this season, are we!?! I sure hope not!

I dont think anyone will have to worry about arey next season. He is already the best on ball defender the indians have and his scoring will come along just fine. Im sure he will work harder than anyone this summer and i look for big things next season!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You might say I've been following his career for a few years...he's got a load of talent and is definitely one of the best players in the Peebles system.

J B Travis, Zach Frye, Zach Bolten are all still putting up some impressive numbers. They've helped the JV win the last 6 games and scored some points off the varsity bench, pretty good for freshman. I think they will be a big help to our varsity bench next year.
