I think it is the Eastern people on here that brought up the refs. But since you mention it, I have been to Eastern before when the refs tried their best to help Howie win, but Bruce Fouts and the gang were just way too much for the Eagles. It even got to a point in one game when the ref just shrugged his shoulders at Howie as if to say, "coach I am doing all I can but that team is just better than you..." So yeah I have seen the refs at Eastern try to cheat a team off the floor, and the field in numerous sports in games when the visting has won, and when they have lost.

Actually, im not an Eastern Eagle fan, im a Belpre Eagle fan, seeing as how i graduated from Belpre High School...I have played at Trimble..definitely 8 on 5..and we still won

Just ask Fort Frye what it is like to play there. They are famous for making sure the opposing teams players spend most of their time on the bench with multiple fouls. Football is no different, except that the homers are usually not enough to get the win for Belpre.

Wow, I guess you got me there. I admit, my excuse for beating Eastern at Eastern is about the refs. Steely Dan nor gh123 are from Trimble. They are the ones who brought up cheating refs. But then all you Eastern and Southern people claim anyone you don't like on here is from Trimble.

LOL that is the funniest thing i have heard..the boys from Parkersburg, if anything don't want Belpre to win. If you were from the area you would know that Parkersburg/Williamstown and Belpre don't necessarily like each other.

Eastern is off to a good start against a couple of teams that are still developing. This weekend the opponents are more formidable...It'll be interesting to see how they perform against Gutherie. I think if Eastern is able to control the tempo and push the ball up the court then they have a good chance to win. It seemed to me that Gutherie was wearing down in the preview. If Trimble can keep it to a half court game then it could be interesting.
I believe Eastern has the better guard play and deeper bench. Tempo will be key.

Typical Eastern/Southern fan. You talk about the past when you say officiating at Trimble has been bad in the past. Then when I use the past against you you don't want to talk about the past anymore. FYI I didn't talk about every gym I have been too. Just Eastern and Belpre, since you two fellas mentioned the officiating at Trimble. Quite frankly, Eastern is the worst place I have ever seen for officiating. Even worse than Belpre. I know, I know no one thought that was possible. But at Eastern it doesn't help your image any when people see the same officials faces game in and game out, year in and year out. Especially when every close call seems to go the home teams way.

Thanks for the insight. I think it was the WVSSAC patches on the officials jackets that must have thrown me off. I am use to seeing officials with OHSAA patches instead. I always thought all WV people were from Parkersburg. I forgot some of them are from Belpre.

Oh really? Maybe your view on officiating is just horrible since you go to most of your games at trimble and you dont know how a fair game is called! And how is it talking about the past if officiating is STILL horrible down in the hole? Eastern referees change from game to game, chief. how about you take a shower that way trimble has one less stinky on friday! I'm not using officiating as an excuse..because i think that reguardless of how your faculty members dressed as zebras call the game, eastern should be okay.

Were you at Trimble last night? Are you there now watching a game? Or are you looking in your crystal ball for the future? Just wondering how you know how the officials are there in the present time if you have'nt been there this year? No I get out to other places. These days I probably see more games away from Trimble than I do at Trimble. And I will bet the faculty members at Trimble would call a more fair game than the guys from Eastern Hill, Tuppers Plains, and Reedsville that you use down there. And I am not talking about Johnny Evens either. He would be fair, as he is an excellent official. That is probably why he gets hired to do games at Trimble, and not Eastern. I'll put it this way. When opposing coaches only see your officials at Eastern, yet they know all of them by first name, last name, middle name, what kind of car they drive, where they live, where they work... It kind of makes it look like they are there a lot. Matter of fact I am not even a coach and I can name most of them. But it would get deleted if I did that on here. The only time you change officials is if one or your girls coaches gets mad at one of them and swithches officials with the boys team, or vise versa.

You are right about one thing. Your basketball team will probably put the same kind of but whuppin on our basketball team as we did on your football team.

Eastern shuts down Guthrie, Tomcats don''t have a chance. However, it is at Trimble, so they won't shut down Guthrie.

Even if Eastern's guards get in foul trouble, they have others that are fully capable. They are very deep. But yea, I'll agree. I think Eastern will shut down Guthrie...he'll prolly get his, but it wont be enough for a Trimble win. BUT, we'll see what those Trimble referees have to say about this game..

Since you started a new argument I can’t help myself. Speaking of spelling see above. Along with your spelling you might want to check your grammar. While I am at it there is only one referee officiating during a basketball game. So you should not have used the plural version of the word. I just wanted to prove a point that most of us mortals do make mistakes when we write in an informal forum. Excepting Motivator and Steely Dan of course Lastly, my moniker is a tongue-in-cheek reference to my lack of ability to enjoy life’s finer fragrances. All trimble forums are the same...

-At the begining of the year they start on how dominating they will be (recruits,staff,etc.)
-As the season progresses they've been scewed by refs time and time again, the other team gets lucky, and so on.
-Towards the end of the season they state how teams better get ready for a "beat down" in football

*And I have heard countless times, the words... "like we did in football"
