Re: Reedsville Eastern @ Trimble
I was at this game, i dont think i have saw a worse officiated game in my life. Not saying thats why eastern won or trimble lost because eastern was clearly the better team. The AD needs to get his head out of his rear end and hire some decent officials. Atleast 2 of the 3 seemed hellbent on calling a foul every 45 seconds.
Congrats to Eastern on the W

I agree the officiating was not that great.....BOTH WAYS......
I don't agree that Eastern was "clearly" the better team. Neither team played as well as I have seen them both play in the past. The game was much closer than 11 points.

Re: Reedsville Eastern @ Trimble
Of course, the officiating was bad...but the better team did prevail. Both teams had their best players in foul trouble all game. Eastern would pull away and then Trimble would claw back and so on and so on. It was a 8-10 point lead for Eastern most of the second half (but trimble did pull it to within 3 in the fourth) and Eastern ended up making their free throws when push came to shove(literally). Winebrenner was very solid from the line towards the end of the game. But the entire team was terrible before that from the charity stripe. A good showing for Eastern but they were colder than ice from the field. Hendrix was there to drop a couple trey's when they needed them and Pierce put the team on his shoulders in the 4th quarter. However, I was impressed with Trimble. They are a good team and will win some games. Guards are pretty fast, and Guthrie is--Guthrie. I think if they had more depth they would be a lot better.
This game just got out of hand in the fourth quarter though. I'm thankful no one was seriously hurt. And does anyone know why the kid from Trimble bullrushed Lynch(number 11) with :03 seconds left? That was ridiculous and he should have been thrown out of the game and had to sit the next two.

The kid that fouled - yea that was just dumb. Frustration, but none the less un-called for. Throw him out of the game? Sit the next two? Not sure about that.... I have seen worse fouls. It would have been interesting if some of the players were not in foul trouble and played the whole game. Trimble does not have the depth that Eastern, Alex, V/C has, which is unfortunate.
Good Luck to both teams in the future!

This was an excellent game to watch. Trimble impressed me, I didn't think they were as good as they actually were. Eastern did the best they could guarding Guthrie and was lucky that he was in foul trouble. Congrats to Eastern on the win and good luck to Trimble

Sorry but Eastern has 8 solid players of equal value. Their "best" players were in foul trouble? They are 8 deep. Noone is better than the other. And the "bench" put them ahead. Kudos to all of the boys. Not our best game but it was a "w". Hope their coach has them ready for tomorrow.

Eight deep of equal talent? Dunno bout that. There are 3-4 that are role players no doubt, but not the key scorers and play makers were in foul trouble. You are right, it takes a team to WIN.

Re: Reedsville Eastern @ Trimble
if the playmakers and the scorers were so good then why were they on the bench? at one point, we had 4 juniors on the floor.
Re: Reedsville Eastern @ Trimble
I agree they play as a total team. The distribute the ball and are totally unselfish. A coach's dream. But there arent 8 equal players on that team. When your two post guys are sitting on the bench in the second quarter due to FOUL TROUBLE, it kindve makes a difference. Not to mention two Senior guards. C'mon...lets not be naive here.

Some of you guys need to get a clue.
I also saw a part of the game last night and the officials did a good job. You guys complaining about officials gets boring after a while. Either start officiating yourself or just cheer for your team. Cry about something else.

I dont believe anybody was crying about the officiating..Just stating how bad they were. The officiating did not control the outcome of this game. Nobody was crying, maybe you should get a clue

Everybody was cool with each other until you had to screw it up. For once a thread between Eastern and Trimble didnt go downhill fast.
I underestimated Trimble this year. They played hard. They will hand out some upsets this year

As many on here have said, everthing was in place for a great run this year. Clearly some changes were made, and not always for the better it looks like. Just my thoughts guys!![]()
