two games at the new burg gym and both times northwest gives up a lead. hopefully the mohawks take away the fact they WERE WINNING BY 17 against the conference favorite.

Even with the 17 point lead i didnt feel comfortable. You give a Barrick coached team an inch and they will take your whole world.

It's real simple....One team knows how to win historically, the other doesn't. I think the Northwest boys looked at the scoreboard and got a little tight. They broke the press for the most part, but they missed the open shots they hit the 1st 3 quarters. They need to put this behind them and move on to next week. This was, after all, just their second game of the young season. They have a real shot at making some noise in the conference. Also, they have moved back down to D3 this year I understand.

hard to beat the pirates. northwest got tired and puckered up in the second half. legs were gone and they started short arming most shots. full court pressure from pirates too much for them to handle. nice game by stegman and lang. bendolph needs to learn to finish around the rim. nice drives but not much return point wise.

Actually, Northwest didn't turn the ball over much against the press. They only had 9 or 10 turnovers for the game. They simply missed the open shots they made the 1st 3 quarters and Wheelersburg made their open ones.
