I could see him getting more looks as a safety than a QB in college although I do think he could play and will get a few opportunities to play QB at the college level.

Of course, that IS assuming they could actually win in another conference....Until then, the purple can keep winning an inferior league and watching their kids suffer because no college wants kids that don't play against competition at least equal to them......they cant compete once they get on campus because they aren't used to a shark tank mentality that is commonplace in college football.

If the above "quote" is true, then not one person in SE OH will go to a D-1 school. Since Logan did end up with the most computer points and have the toughest overall schedule in this part of the state. That would mean the TVC, the SEOAL and any other area League couldn't be recruited. Since we're all so weak. Does that make sense? lol

Logan has sent a few kids to OSU on full rides. They have had other kids go to big ten schools. a few that got hurt before they started college to. The main problem has always been education. A school recruits a kid and he drops out with bad grades after a year. That is changing in SEO. Schools are getting much better.

Nobody said anything about being jealous. Get over yourself. I for one think that he might be the best palyer in all of SEO, but players like Roback and Arnold... and the superleg Drew Basil, make it hard to say he is. However, we still do not have close to the caliber of athletes in our neck of the woods as in the rest of the state. I would rather see Pat go to a smaller school and have an opportunity to be a 3 or 4 year starter and perhaps play right away. Also, it sounds like Pat has not really helped himself by not getting to combines where he can be looked at in a wider spectrum. Do you think Jim Tressel makes much efort to recruit in southeastern ohio? Unfortunately, kids from our area have to be more aggressive tom get recruited. He will be somewhere if he wants to be, it just depends where. If he wants to play QB, their is somehere for him, but not a D1 at this point unless he is walking on.

Something is up. Barring a last minute offer, which is possible, I see Angle walking on to a program (D1). Then again, that is if he wants to do that. I know he wants to play football. But a perfect storm has to happen for him to get some legit offers at this point. When is national signing/commitment day?

OU has called asked him twice to walk-on, but thats bull. They want a free player. He visited findlay last week. He is visiting a school in Pennsylvania soon, Edinborough (sp?) i think. The university of Virginia at Wise is the only school that has offered an athletic scholarship.

I think its ridiculous, that an all-ohio offensive player of the year, isn't getting Division 1 looks. Something's gotta give.

You got it right osu*me......that is ridiculous. OU wants the reversal of what Pat deserves. They want a free ride from Pat instead of him getting a free ride from them. Besides Findlay, who in the heck is Edinborough and UV-Wise? I think it is ridiculous that no D1 school has made an offer. Even if it be an Akron, Marshall, or Bowling Green. What does a guy with his credibility and awards have to do? If he doesn't get an offer by signing day, I think he should attempt to walk on to a program.........but not at OU!

BTW............ its Edinboro, a very nice D-II school in the PSAC. Beautiful campus. Browns & the Buffalo Bills used to scrimage there for several years.

I recall a former Logan OL played for them about 10 years ago. YSU played them in an opener & the Logan player did very well vs I-AA YSU.
