ClayPantherFan Id have to see that to believe it. I doubt Clay could shoot 50% wit no defense on the floor.

Mav, here are the stats thru two games. See it and believe it.

FG 30 of 52 for 58%
3's 5 of 14 for 36%
FT's 14 of 28 for 50%

Overall 35 of 66 for 53%

Shooting the ball has not been Clay's problem, Not shooting the ball has. TO"s have taken away opportunities to score. They have several players shooting over 50% from the field.

Bussler 9-11 82%
Valentine 4 - 6 67%
Lawson 6 - 10 60%
Porter 4- 7 57%
Graham 3 - 6 50%

Minford 69
Clay 39

Didn't go to this one but was told Clay fell apart on the press and made way to many turnovers again. If you went, what went wrong for the Panthers this time. They have two SOC I games left to play before the break and need to get it together soon.

Congrats Falcons. Sounds like Clay just can't seem to get it together these first few games...Good luck to both teams on the remainder of your seasons...

Minford just straight up out manned clay, the panthers don't have the athletes to compete with them. Minford was up I beleive 46-11 at half with clay not breaking into double digits until 3 minutes left in the half. The Falcons will need to cut down on the fouls though, going into bonus that early will cost them against the tougher competition. Good win for the Falcons, like I've said they have the athletes to upset anyone at anytime, if the get some confidence early and play more like basketball players than athletes playing basketball they will be a dangerous team.

Coach T needs to find a line up that plays well together. He seems to pull players for no apparent reason. I was told tonight after the starters finally went on an 8 - 4 run, he pulled them all and put in the subs half way thru the 2nd quarter, letting the lead go over 30 points at halftime.

Wow. After all that talk I expected a ballgame. Now I'm sorry I missed the game I was supposed to go to just to go watch Clay get beat like a junior high team. Thanks a lot Claypantherfan. I predicted Minford was too strong for Clay and I should have trusted that. Lesson learned. The only reason I stayed was to see if they would break the 20 point mark before the 4th. I picked the falcons to be in the bottom of the SOC II this year but they may finish in the middle.Good luck to both squads the rest of the season.

Coach T does need to find a line up the starters sat out of the whole 4th quarter basically? What is up with that?

Minford looked good tonight. I still think they will be better than people think. Clay may be OK, but they need to be mentally prepared. If they have read all of the hype on here they may have gotten big headed. They can be good, but they need to work harder and start from scratch.

Minford came out playing with intensity from the tip. The same couldnt be said for Clay. Its hard to say that Minford will be better than expected, but I do know that Clay is not as good as some of their faithful were projecting.

Minford's press was very troubling for Clay, but I dont think that they can expect half the results against Oak Hill. If they want to just compete against Oak Hill, the game will be decided in the half court. If Minford is going to compete against Oak Hill, they will have to hit some shots, except this game it will have to be with a hand in their face, not wide open.

Good luck falcons, prove em wrong!
