I look forward to this game as well to see what the Trojans will bring to the table. I believe they will win but it will either be really close like by about 4 or by about 20. I know that's a wide range but I feel if the jeeps can keep composure against the Trojans and handle the press it will be a nail-biter. However, if the jeeps can't break the press and turn the ball over I could see this one getting out of hand because of easy buckets from turnovers. I always hope for a good game and safe travels to those coming from SW.

I hope my favorite team can beat my second favorite. Hate routing against Portsmouth!!

Anyway, it will be a great test for the Jeeps! Just play your best and don't worry about the score. Get better every game and prepare for tournament time.
This is a marathon, not a sprint!

I don't make any game predictions......but I am looking forward to seeing the full court press that the Trojans used for many years.........Coach Collins is bringing "old style" basketball back to Portsmouth........I don't know how many games we will win, but we should be fun to watch........I think his system fits PERFECTLY to the athletes he has now and in most years will have at PHS. Full court basketball is Portsmouth basketball!!

The Trojans starting 5 most likely will be:

Tre Underwood 6-4 junior
Patrick Underwood 6-1 senior
Forrest Johnson 6-0 senior
Wayne Evans 6-1 sophomore
London Malone 5-9 senior

Look for 4-5 kids off the bench to come in with some good minutes........

Portsmouth and South Webster have something in common......two programs who are both trying to rebound from some down years........and both have new coaches who have brought a new energy to their respective teams.

New decade, new coach, new era........good luck to Coach Collins and the Trojans!!!

Game is on 99.3 FM and it sound like South Webster is off and running like they did against Clay. Scott has two nice passes to Wes Loop. He made some great passes at the Clay game.

SW is trying to kill clock the whole 4th quarter and it has let Portsmouth pull back in the game.

These boys from Webster are the real deal. Look out for several upsets this season* Congrats to Coach Ater on a well coached game, and good luck to the Trojans on the remainder of your season.

back from the game. sat on the front row of the bleachers on websters side all night. The Jeeps got the ball inside all night and scored with a lot of layup action. Portsmouth definitely had the size advantage but couldn't put it to good use. Portsmouth tried to trap Connor Scott in the back court to no avail. The jeeps passing is top notch for sure. What sealed the game for the jeeps was the charity stripe game. I don't know what percentage they shot but it was definitely clutch.

I will say this, look for the jeeps to be a level 1 contender for the conference title If they play like they did tonight for the remainder of the season.

good game to both teams
