Good to see Burg bounce back from a tough loss at the Peake. I can see a good season ahead for the Pirates now that Bendolph is back and healthy...

Really bad game for the Lancers, played no "D" and the offense was bad.
I will give credit to Wheelersburg always a good team and well coached.
If the boys would play like the are capable, they could have given them a good
game, not saying the would beat them, but they played bad.
Good luck to Wheelersburg the rest of this season.
Go Lancers

Have to agree with you on FH's offnese. All they did was chuck 3 after 3 all game. If that is there offense and they are not hitting, then it will probably be a long season for them.

I agree with the previous two statements. If the new coach lets them shoot at will they are in for an extremely long year. He should probably watch some game film from last year. The Lancers struggled winning games because of inconsistent shooting. Torrence and Thompson are good outside shooters, but they aren't going to carry this team with the long ball anywhere in the tournament or even the TVC hocking.

Are you people already unhappy with the new coach? My gosh that is 3 coaches in 3 years isn't it? When are you going to learn to check into these guys and hire someone credible and one who will stay for a while. It is a shame to see such a quality program in disarray so early in a new season.

Not unhappy with the new coach and the Lancers actually looked good in the preview and against Trimble. I don't think they could compete with Wheelersburg even if they played a perfect game this season. Wheelersburg is very good. I was just saying that the Fed boys shoot too many outside shots.

Rumor has it, the new Coach is looking to go to Meadowbrook after this year.

I've heard hear in Athens he wants to move on also, but I didn't hear a particular name mentioned as far as a school he wanted to go to. He probably just wanted that year of experience to put on the resume.

Everyone will look good against Wellston, Trimble and Miller.

I've heard that's his offense just run and gun the three ball. They will probably see a lot of zone defense this year.

The JV game was only 11 points difference, 49-38, but the Pirates were up by 18 points in the fourth quarter before emptying the bench. Federal Hocking finished the game on a 7-1 run. They looked pretty decent but Wheelersburg's freshmen looked better overall.

Considering the 3 kids that saw a lot of minutes last season that aren't playing this year and the loss of Schankweiler to injury they are going to struggle a little with or without Bendolph. Once Barrick gets his lineup set they will be just fine. They have 5 solid starters in Stegman, Lang, Ward, Miller, and Bendolph, just not as strong of a bench as they could have had with those other 4 players who aren't playing.
