Best QB to play at your school
Re: Best QB to play at your school
For Trimble I think four stand out (in chronological order)
Kevin Meade 2,980 passing yards
Mike Roback 2,655 passing yards
Both were also running threats
Roger Bingman 5,181 passing yards
A.J. Jenkins 4,174 passing yards
Meade was Jim Tressel's first ever recruit as an assistant at Akron
Roback went to Ohio University
Bingman went to Hastings College in Nebraska

Earp - they were good, but I respectfully disagree.
Glen Stapleton was the best QB in the history of FHS.

This is a tough call for Logan, here are the contenders:
John Gasser (1964, 1965) - Went on to start at safety at Notre Dame. Led a 1964 undefeated Chieftain team as a junior.
Scott Gasser (1976, 1977) - Went on to a great career at Otterbein. Led an undefeated team in 1977.
Keith Myers (1983, '84, '85) - Went on to a great career at Wilmington College. Held every LHS passing record for 15 years.
Joe Conrad (1998, '99, '00) - Went on to a NCAA record setting career at Glenville State. Broke half of Myers records. Led team to 2 playoff appearances and to a Regional Final in 2000.
Patrick Angle (2008, '09) - 22-2 career record as starter. Holds every LHS passing record. Logan's only 2-time 1st team All-Ohio player. Logan's first Statewide Player of the year award winner.
For my money it's Angle over Conrad.
Other Greats:
Robbie Johnson (1961, '62, '63) - Went on to play linebacker for Woody Hayes.
Jimmer Breining (1986, '87, '88) - Led Logan to its first playoff appearance in '87.
Michael Angle ('05, '06, '07) - Made two playoff appearances and finished 18-0 as a starter in league play and 26-5 overall as a starter.

Re: Best QB to play at your school
I played with Bainter, the Gassers older brother Tom and Rob Johnson. Rob was a three year starter at ILB for Woody. Bainter started for two seasons for O.U. Both were power runners, limited passers. Tom Gasser was also a QB but started at S as he was Rob Johnson's back-up at QB. Saw several of the other Logan QBs. Conrad was the best passing QB till Pat Angle came along. Meyers was also very good, a gunslinger. Good list.

Evan Ferguson for CG he only played there one year but set some records

With going to school with John Gasser -I hate to say as QB it would be Pat over John--but over all in every sport I would say John. The guy could do every sport good.

Re: Best QB to play at your school
Gene Swick played his sophomore year at Oak Hill which I beleive was 1969 and then moved out of the area. He played QB at the University of Toledo where he set Toledo and MAC records that stood for 30 years. He was drafted in the 4th round by the Cleveland Browns but wasn't able to play due to an injury. Here's a link to an article about him.

There's also a pretty good QB playing at Oak Hill now, Jess Slone.

Kevin Meger.....Sheridan 87'......two sport all-ohio (baseball).....led the generals to the state title game in football and the state semi-final in baseball. 4 yr starter @ Toledo, 3x all MAC......played in the CFL until severe spleen injury cut his career short.
