NY has 9 wrestlers...gave up 5 forfeits! won 5 out of 7 actual matches! is the better tournament team .NY has a shot at winning the sectional at Alex.. Zane Trace does not!

zane trace gave up ff as well
zane trace has a state qualifier that was forfeited to-nelsonville could have bumped to try to beat him and take away points that ultimately could have won the dual, but chose to take a forfeit instead of wrestling the match
zane trace has a 2 time district placer that has a record of 36-3 that was forfeited to- nelsonville weighed in a kid in that weight class but chose to not wrestle the match and forfeit
zane trace has another kid that is 36-5. he is a sectional champ having defeated a nelsonville kid in the finals- nelsonville chose to forfeit to him and bump a kid
yes, neslonville won more matches, but they elected to take the easy route when possible

"wrestle fan
your Proving my point for me. ZT might want to actually go to a decent tournament or 2 next year! I've seen SEO kids with great records struggle at Districts and not win a match at state. I hope ZT does well but beating a team in a dual with 9 wrestlers shouldn't be too hard. Of course ZT got it handed to them the next match.

Got it handed to them the next round?
We lost 42-25
We have gave up 24 in forfeits
So In matches wrestled we won 25-18
We won 6 matches Amanda won 4
By your rational we were the better team.
But I'm not going by that- It's a cop out.
Amanda won - as they were the better team
I'm not using the excuse you made up for nelsonville

I don't doubt that at all.
The exact same is,true of ZT
Will ny win the sectional? Maybe.
But it won't be a,blow out
ZT will have 8 guys seeded 1-2

If that's the case I can see ZT finishing 1st 2nd or 3rd.
NY should have 4 champions and send 8 to districts.

Nelsonville-York is not very good plain and simple. Guess the good thing is we graduate one kid 195 who lost the other night. Next year we will be ok we get a pretty good kid back yes sir!!! And then 2 others one who is out all year 2x DQ and a nice 8th grader. Armchair your right on it.
