I'm sure someone has it recorded. And I agree these three officails need to be removed from the varisity level. I would maybe put them at the biddy ball level. I did see some kids question calls, on both teams. But I didn't see anything that should have brought on a technical. The one technical that was called, from what I seen from the ref, was a thrown punch. Didn't see it but if a punch is thrown, shouldn't that be ejection from the game? The player went to the bench, then later returned. don't get me wrong East done what they had to do. They made some big shots at the end of the game. And they could beat West on any given night. But last night West lost because of the 3 stooges, East hired as refs.

As I understand it, the conference assigns officials for non-league games as well. Don't blame it on East, the league assigned those officials to call that game.

What is the rule in a case were the ref's line up the tip wrong? I thought if any baskets were made, it counted for the team that made it, even if it was the wrong basket. Then the Officials point out the correct basket for the teams.

That's a question worthy of it's own post. If the refs allowed the teams to line up wrong and a team made a basket in the wrong basket, even though it was the way they were lined up with, who actaully gets the points. I would think you would stop the game, re-jump the ball with the players in the correct positions.
I can tell you for sure that any time during the game, if you shoot the ball into the wrong basket, the other team gets the points.

Correct me if Im wrong if only one basket is made (or one possession has occured). It is a correctable call. Line them up retip in the right direction. They took the points from West and awarded them to East. That is a 4 point swing. East won by 5. With West purposely fouling at the end, East did make their freethrows. But it may have been different, had the right call had been made. This was the worst call of the night, but it wasn't the only questionable call. If you want to punish players for Coach Bradford leaving and going back to his alma mater. You souldn't ref at this level, I beleive that at one time in the second half the fouls was 10 West,2 East. All I need is a film of the game.

The rule does need to be changed, but OHSAA rules that once points are put on a board, and scored, the points
may not be removed. So after a shot is made the points will be scored to whatever team has posession
of that rim at that time. (even if it's an official's error).
