Here is my preseason prediction for the seoal.

1. PORTSMOUTH
2. LOGAN
3. JACKSON
4. WARREN
5. GALLIA
6. CHILLICOTHE
7. MARIETTA

I agree with trojanofthepast in the fact it will come down to logan and portsmouth. I also agree that warren will be around .500 in league play with loses to (logan,portsmouth, and jackson). I believe warren has talent but dont under estimate the difficulties of having a new coach. It's tough for kids to adapt and gel with a new coach just like that, but it can happen (Jackson did pretty good last year). I don't think chillicothe will finish as high as 4th in the league like trojanofthepast stated above. It will take a year before the new coach makes headway and get those athletes out their. But, look out for chillicothe in the real near future with this coach he's good.
Overall I think this league will be very tight with a lot of quality team this year. It could go several different ways and maybe co-champs. I think in the end that portsmouth has all of their big games at home (LOGAN, JACKSON, AND WARREN). To me that gives them the edge for the league title.

I was looking trough all the comments, and there is a single number that sticks out in my mind. 3. The number 3 is the TOTAL number of games lost by the Trojans Senior Class since the 7th grade. When you think about a stat like that, it's hard to argue against this squad. Now, i still think PHS has to beat Logan in week 9 to win the title outright, but i think they should be able to do so quit easily. I also look for them to finish with a 8-2,9-1, or 10-0 record and make a very solid run deep into the playoffs.

First I would like to say about the above post by pan-man, that the Trojans will beat Logan easily. That statement is crazy to say first of all because Logan has not been beaten in the league in 4 years. I don't think anyone in the league will beat Logan easily if they beat them at all. Logan's program will not rebuild it will reload year in and year out. I have predicted the Trojans will win week 9, but if they do it will not be easily. GO TROJANS

Trojans Schedule;

Home Games;

Wilmington
Jackson
Warren
Logan
Ironton

Away Games;

West
Wheelersburg
Gallipolis
Chillicothe
Marietta

P.S. By far the toughest schedule in our area with 7 games against D2 and D3 schools. There is no give me game on the Trojans schedule for next year. This team will have a lot of chances to get some big computer points.

4 - D2 schools (Wilmington, Warren, Logan, Marietta)
3 - D3 schools (Chillicothe, Jackson, Gallipolis)
3 - Rival games with perennial playoff teams (Ironton, West, and Wheelersburg)

I just have this feeling that Gallipolis will shock a lot of people this year and come in third.

Unless Chillicothe can come up with a good QB I see them near the bottom

I think you are given Warren too much credit going into next year. Against the top teams in the league last year they were out scored 100-33 (Logan 31-14, Portsmouth 28-7, and Ironton 41-12). I beleive if they had played Jackson they would have had 4 loses n league play. Logan, Portsmouth, Jackson, all have very good teams coming back. I see Warren losing all 3 of those league games this year so I would flip flop Warren and Jackson. I only see Jackson losing to Logan and Portsmouth this year in the league.

Portsmouth 6-0 (This hurts to even say but too much talent returning)
Logan 5-1 (Lose to Portsmouth)
Jackson 4-2 (Loses to Portsmouth and Logan)
Warren 3-3 (Loses to Portsmouth, Logan, and Jackson)
Gallia 2-4 (Loses to Portsmouth, Logan, Jackson, and Warren)
Chilly 1-5 (Loses to Portsmouth, Logan, Jackson, Warren, and Gallipolis)
Marietta 0-6 (Loses to everyone in the league)

Last year is last year...........thats why the PROJECTIONS are for this coming year. Clearly Logan and Portsmouth should be the class of the league and their match up in game 9 should be for the Championship. Clearly, most look at Chilli, Gallia & Marietta as the bottom of the league. Some see Jackson as a better team, but they have remained badly over-rated and shown it for years, playing weak sister schedules and not being ready for prime time when it counts along with an underachieving coach. Warren is on a upswing with better athletes and a new coach who already knows the league. Those two teams in the middle determine who is the better team when they play. I merely offered a more realistic projection than the myopic view above mine that sees Jackson winning the league and Logan in the bottom half of the league. Thats way off base and has no chance of either happening. My view looks closer to reality and nothing wrong with yours. But I like Logan's chances and see the league as I outlined. I'm not known for being too far wrong on the league projections for a number of years. The guys will settle it on the field.

There is no way Logan will beat Jackson this year. Jackson will beat Logan by 14 or more.

You know, this is starting to get out of hand. First we had to endure years and years of braggards from Itown on here talking trash about beating Logan. Of course, its yet to happen this century ,as 2old would say. Years of outlandish comments that Itown couldn't backup or deliver on by their classless fans. Now, the Jackson Ironboys, home of the league's weakest sister scheduling and underachieving teams has fans coming on to tout a team at best 3rd in the league and probably 4th. Beating Logan by 14 ?? :lol: :lol: :lol:

Another fantasy league match-up ?? 8)

It will be a forgetable year in Jackson.

And Logan is 4-0 this century. There is nothing I need to add to identify classless fans from Itown -- most folks recognize that. Those who can no longer win, take their ball and go home. Fitting departure.
