It doesn't matter how big your school is, if you have the players you will be successful.
Re: SEOAL 2010
i heard that britton johnson might be getting moved to tight end this season. It would be good because he can catch and he has the speed now lets just see how well he can block.

I totally agree, but you are more likely to have those players with a larger enrollment.Texas 2 wrote:It doesn't matter how big your school is, if you have the players you will be successful.

Logan is the top dog till someone proves otherwise, but Jackson and Portsmouth both should have strong teams this year that should challenge the Chieftains. It is very possible Logan could have 2 league losses this season. They graduated a lot, and will have a new head coach. Although I don't look for them to reinvent the wheel things will be a little different in Logan.

Re: SEOAL 2010
Logan did lose a lot. And Amyx will be missed. But before anyone starts counting wins and losses, you better realize Logan has a pretty deep well to dip into. And they have seen what the previous classes have done and know what's expected of them. You'll have to knock them out to claim the title.

Logan needs their first league win to beat the league record for SEOAL games won in a row

Who will start for Logan at Qb? What year? Did he play reserve or mop up duty last year?
What about WR's?
What about WR's?
Re: SEOAL 2010
Jurgensmier should start for Logan and played quite a bit last season. he also stook about all the snaps during the seven on seven and Logan did just fine with him.

Re: SEOAL 2010
Warren may have three separate schools with grades 7-8 (all 3 of Warren's Elem schools are k-8), but with the exceptions of basketball and softball, all our junior high teams are district-wide, so the middle argument doesn't really apply.
I like how Marietta works, with one middle school but a Orange and Black team in sports where more kids than will reasonably fit on one team want to play.
But...Marietta...who cares? :P

A lot folks (myself included) make predictions with their hearts, and not with good reasoning.

Re: SEOAL 2010
I think the SEOAL title will be decided in week 9 when Logan visits Portsmouth......I cast my poll vote for the Trojans to win the SEOAL in 2010........going from 0-7 in 2008, to 5-2 in 2009, to a good shot at going undefeated in 2010. The battle between the Chieftains and Trojans will be the first between the two schools in 3 years........Logan won the first 2 games by scores of 27-0 and 61-14. The second score was over a Trojan team that went 8-2 and undefeated (4-0) in South Division play in 2007.......Portsmouth lost to Licking Heights in the playoffs 42-34.........but the 2010 PHS squad should be considerably stronger than that team.

I agree Dave this will be the best Trojan team since 2002.

I think Coach Hall has got them heading in the right direction, and with a good showing last year they should be ready to enter the conversation.
