Re: SEOAL 2010
or experienced? Chieftains question is the most important, Ill take a solid footwork type lineman any day over a slow big space taker.
I love Portsmouths experience , four seniors up front that have gotton dirty before.

Re: SEOAL 2010
i would take quicker feet work over a wide body any day. at some point those wide bodies are going to wear down trying to keep up with those quicker feet.

I just told you the sizes, fellas. We'll see if they're quick enough, experienced enough, and good enough in a few weeks.
Three of them are returning starters, so I'm fairly certain they have what it takes.

Logan didn't have much speed at Circleville tonight at the scrimmage, I would said, Logan will end in 3rd place this year with a 6 and 4 record. Unless they show alot of improvement.

WHEN THE SMOKE CLEARS, YOU WILL SEE COACH CLIFFORD AND THE TROJANS IN THE FRONT OF THE PACK LOOKING AT EVERYONE ELSE IN THE REAR VIEW MIRROR.

Jackson "big" line looked dominant against Meigs today. True, Meigs isn't Portsmouth or Logan, but it was still a dominating performance. :122245 :122245 :122245

I picked from the start of this thread,,,the winner of the Jackson Portsmouth game will win the league.
Re: SEOAL 2010
They very well could be 0-3,those are some big fast physical teams they have to deal with early on ,but by the time league rolls around they will be well prepared, might be like that team from few years back that got beat up by Lancaster,Gahanna, Pick North,Chillicothe but still won the league I think although Portsmouth is a scary game down there.

Good info on all- I think Mr. Wolfe has been trying to see his weaknesses as opposed to trying to win. Logan was very 1-dimensional in the scrimmage from reports of those I know. Perhaps there is more? Can't say myself.
Common sense does tell me that if each starter is a Jr./Sr. this year, and didn't start last- it must be a step down, or with individual improvement an equal exchange from last year's starters at best. Therefore, I stick with my prediction from last year (in hope)- 7-3
League? It's gonna depend on how much heart and attention to detail every player has. And the plan to use Logan's athletes in the best possible manner without being predictable as they have been in some distant years in the past.
Gonna be exciting! I'm here through thick and thin! Hope they prove me wrong and make Logan 10-0!!! Wouldn't that be a statement!

1. LOGAN- defending champions
2. GALLIA ACADEMY- 2004
3. MARIETTA- 2002
4. JACKSON- 1998
5. WARREN LOCAL- 1995
6. PORTSMOUTH- 1926
7. CHILLICOTHE- none yet
Still can't believe that Jackson hasn't won a title since 1998, especially since they have 20 overall. I was a freshman in high school the last time the Ironmen claimed the crown. They really had the potential to win titles in 2003 and 2004, but a heartbreaking 34-30 loss to GAHS in '03, and two one-point upsets in '04 kept them from the title. Those two seasons still hurt to this day. I'd like nothing more than to see this year's team bring the SEOAL back to Jackson.
