I enjoyed going to the game tonight. VC played solid defense but they gave up way too many offensive rebounds. The pace was slow but if VC rebounds better they would have won by 20+. I watched the Alexander game before ours and they looked very solid on offense and defense.

Sorry I didn't see this sooner & give you some better pregame details.

This is a very good win for V.C.! John Glenn(like Maysville & most of the MVL) are very young as far as experience goes. Most teams were senior dominated last season in the MVL & most of them should be very dangerous come tournament time.

John Glenn is very well coached & has been dangerous the last few years but there is something about them. They always seem to play well for most of the game but there will be a few minutes here & there that they look look like they get side tracked & distracted. Great Win for the Vikings!

Guthrie has nice touch for his size, not a great player but gets the most out of what he has, IMO. I liked number 23, he was a solid player and Allen never got in to the game cuz of the foul issues. It was a very boring game to watch, Vinton did what I felt they should, sit in a zone against JG, they have no shooters and looked lost the entire game. Heagen was the best player on the court but Vinton had the five next best players. Would like to add that watching this game then watching the Peebles/Trace game after was like watching the jv game prior to the varsity contest, those two teams are very good.
