Oak Hill @ Waverly 12-14-09

Post by Slim Jim »

The Lady Tigers have improved but not anywhere near to the level of Oak Hill. This is an obvious blowout in the making, but hopefully they can hang in there for a while. I'll say 71-39 for a final score...

Oaks by however much they want. No team in the area can touch them.

There never seems to be a cut-off for Coach Hale. Someday he will get this in return by 10 fold.

You are wrong, Coach Hale DOES have a cut off... if i am right...the SW game, in the 4th quarter the Oaks had to pass the ball at least 5 times and it had to be a layup... Hale cant set his best players down after half time if he wants to prepare them for the tournament!

So does that mean he is going to get beat 840-31?

Come on, they didn't even press the second half, and didn't run any set plays. Each time down the court the last 5 minutes at least 30 seconds probably went off the clock.

Those girls practice hard so why shouldn't they get their playing time. Most of them work year round on their game so shame on anyone who thinks they don't deserve to play. Don't be a hater, it only makes you look small!

To the Lady Oaks and their fans. Yes these ladies have bigger fish to fry when it comes to tournament time. Playing together and keeping that rythum is essential to their success. This is something that we as fans at Waterford have dealt with for years. The Berlin Hilands and Columbus Affricentrics of the world stay focused on the end result.

I don't know if you are defensive or delusional, but I have seen MANY games with the full court press on with a lead of 30 or 40 points. This is bad policy. And the ball going up at the 3 point line. Again, bad policy. Maybe revamping your schedule would give you some worthy opponents..........

I think programs like yours is why the girls at Oak Hill work so hard. Your girls proved that rural girls can play ball too. Thanks for the inspiration.

So basically pack it up in the second quarter, let the other team drive to the basket and stall as much as possible. Sounds like a slap in the face to me. I don't think that the seniors went through 4 years of basketball to have to sit on the bench for half the game and not get to do what they have been taught and worked hard for.

My goal as the opposing team would be to have Oak Hill's top 8 in the game as long as possible. This meant that I did my job as a player.

Waverly has two top notch basketball facilites.I would rate them 1 and 1a in the area right now.The Downtown gym is second to none and this new one is very nice as well.

I am not a fan of the new one but the downtown gym will always be my favorite.
