Actually this game was a lot closer than the score would indicate. the Trojans were down by 3 with about 2 minutes to play and simply ran out of gas. Both teams were within 3-5 points of each other the entire game with both taking the lead at some point.

Portsmouth simply does not have any bench strength getting very few points from the bench so far this season. In fact most of the points have come from starters McGinnis, Foster and Link.

Coach Boldman has done a remarkable job staying close and having a good chance of winning 4 of the five games they have played. The have given their opponents a competitive game with good defense and some good outside shooting. It is a much stronger team than last year. But without any reliable bench players, the team just can't finish the job.

You can count on the PHS-Ironton game to be a good one.
