We can speculate all we want on whether or not Caleb will be there.....we will know when we get there....FACT OF THE MATTER IS THIS...in order to be successful, Waverly must come out and play the game with intensity and focus, regardless of which five players Piketon puts on the floor! Good Luck Tigers!!

IMO, Piketon didn't miss a beat last night without Southworth. The only thing I can see is, keep Brush out of foul trouble.

Some keys to a Tiger victory:
*Not only control the glass but control the PAINT. Not sure the Tigers can play a man-to-man and keep the Streaks out of the paint.
*Slow the game down - DO NOT get into a track meet with the Redsteaks. No way does Waverly win by playing an uptempo game with Piketon.
*Stay out of foul trouble - Johnston and Kretzer cannot sit on the bench in foul trouble.
*Win the turnover battle.

Just wondering what determines home team? Records or do they rotate?

JOESOUTH,
The home team wears white and sits to the left of the scorers table, if you're facing the table. Other than that I can't think of any reason it matters who is the home team.

I do know Waverly is always home since Waverly is the host school and it's being played at Waverly.
Also, I don't know it to be a fact but I "think" they keep Waverly and Piketon separated because they bring the biggest crowds. That would mean Piketon is always visitors and fans sit across the floor from the scorers table. It would be very difficult to have Piketon and Waverly fans sitting on the same side because of the fan base they bring.

I don't know if that answers your question but I gave it my best shot.

Tigers2010,

That's exactly what I meant (and thought I typed). I am in no way saying the Tigers will roll in this game b/c Southworth isn't there. In fact, I would call this game a pick 'em even without him. Piketon still has kids on the floor that have played at the highest level...who else in Pike County can say they played for a state championship? That goes a long way...especially in close ball games, which I expect this one to be.

Well I guess since that other site is so boring I had to make the move this direction.....

Look forward to a great game tonight from the Streaks and Tigers.

tlbball,
I check out the puddle every now and then to see what is going on over there but REFUSE to pay, even if I can't read most of it. Like you said, not much going on over there - a true shame!

Less than 7 hours to tip off of the consolation game. Should be a night of good basketball with another packed house.

Interesting matchup tonight curious to what Waverly is going to do, definately dont see a track meet coming, though i like to see Waverly push the ball but would expect the score to be in the 50's.
Waverly's guards Johnston, Remy and Malone are very strong physical guards who wear down opposing guards, Piketons guards are in serious basketball shape so that will be a great matchup.
Inside wow hope Southworth is there tonight I want to see Waverly's bigs going up against him and Brush. Either way, him there or not Piketon is a very good basketball team and CAN play with anyone in southern ohio LE included.
Rebounding and Free Throw shooting is what I believe this game will come down to.
Coaches good luck tonight keep it simple keep it smart.
Waverly 56- Piketon 55 Got to go with the TIGERS
But if its as good as game as last yrs I dont care who wins, oh heck who am I kidding go TIGERS

Waverly's guards have to have a great game tonight. I think the bigs will be fine.

I'm coming from out of town. Not really worried about missing any of the Eastern-Western game.
What time should I get there for the tip of the Piketon-Waverly game?...and get a decent seat?
I assume there will be a nice crowd.

7:30....but it will be packed by then.

Sorry...I gave bad information on Southworth...he will not be there. Streaks gotta turn up the heat! I hope the game is not called tight, but on the other hand...that could fall into Piketon's favor, depending on who gets in foul trouble.
