Pfloyd...Gallipolis will play a non-league makeup at Meigs on Saturday, Jan. 2. The game was originally scheduled on Dec. 19, but was postponed because of bad weather.

... thanks Jottings ... I was going thru my Menu of Games for the Week that IS - had the Gallia Academy vs Meigs game penciled in for this week ... I'm afraid that this will be an interesting season with some creative scheduling of weather related make-up games in the 2010 portion of this years hoop campaign ...

Gallia also has to go to Chillicothe this week and play an up-start Cavs team coming off a win vs. Marietta.....

Portsmouth currently has 3 straight home games after their win vs. Jackson on the Trojan hardwood........Marietta tomorrow, Chillicothe next Tuesday, and then Gallia Academy on Fri.Jan.8th. If PHS is to seriously contend for the SEOAL title, they must take care of business at home because 6 of the next 7 games after this homestand is on the road.

... trojandave - Hillsboro "on the court" is 4-2 however with the OSHAA ruling of an ineligible player - they were forced to take loses for their 3 wins prior to their last game ( a win over Greenfield McClain which counted on the good side) ... so the 1-5 is definitely a "phantom record" ... as I posted I wouldn't want to be a top seed and have to see these guys early in the postseason ...

Thanks for the info, pfloyd......I deleted my post about Hillsboro's "1-5" start......didn't know about the ineligible player until I read the "Hillsboro basketball" thread.

I agree with you about anyone having to face the Indians in the postseason.......on the perimeter, they can match up with a lot of teams.
