Indian man I don't have any bad taste in my mouth. I'm not even from Peebles or care what you wear. I was just reading the thread and thought I'd make, what I thought, was a rather funny comment.

Sorry if I offended you.

I'm new at this ;-)

The stats on the website are only up to 1999, but Josh has them compiled up to present day. They're not updated on the website for two reasons, 1) When the stats were finished from 1999 to present, they were handwritten, and not typed up, and 2) It would take a long time to update the website, and sometimes I get tired at night. Sorry.

We also have stats on who scored how much in almost every game...and they're not up yet.

I'd like to do a similar site for north adams...any devils fans want to help be a web master?

junk if there are any negative remarkes that are here, they have come from you. i simply was trying to put together some things that i thought were a little added to. you say that i have an ax to grind, sounds like you grind one with someone whenever you post, if it dosen't fit you guideline or what you think someone should say. no i have never been able to play the game, i wish that i were. the part that i am not a loyal peebles fan is a fabrication of your mind. i have attended more peebles games in my younger days in the old wood gym, then you have in the new one. although i am not able to attend as often as i wish i could anymore, i do listen to games that are on the radio and keep up the teams. i might be old, but my memory is still pretty sharp and i know what i have seen in my viewpoint. the green envy that you so speak of, seems to be that you can't think fast enough or know enough about the indians history, and all you do is add what you think are intellectual remarks, and trash someone else's post. if you read all my posts, which i seriously doubt, you would see that i only stated what i saw and yes i was there at latham, and i know for certain that you weren't. as far as the stats go i was trying to put together what i thought to be three straight undefeated seasons. which i felt was a remarkable feat. i could not come of with any, other than what i posted. you tell me what is so negative about that, not that you would understand any of this. yes i will continue to post on things that i am not sure of and proud of. one that i am proud is the peebles boys and girls teams. YOU NEED TO GET A LIFE and not worry so much about what people post. keep you nose to the grindstone, i am sure you will find someone else to be critical of before the day is done. got to have to my medicine to keep my mind clear.
shljunkie wrote:Starting to look like a couple certain posters...not to mention any names followthru and luvit, have an ax to grind and are letting the old green monster show through! You guys say you are Peebles fans....no way, not buying it. You may be from Peebles but you certainly aren't fans. Either you are missing the glory days or mad about what didn't happen for you.
The pad the stats comments are getting rather ignorent....anytime a player has a chance to break a record or have a great game....who pulls them out.....that is right down stupid.

I do ..... they was up by about 40 in the fourth quarter with their starters in so he could break the record .... everyone needs to get over this and move on .... GO Indians

indian boy, you don't have a clue to anything other what someone elses post say. no i never was able to play. circumstances prevented that, but i doubt that you or junkie ever played either, no more insight than you have into anything. i would say that you have several names on here, and it really dosen't matter. guessing that if you did play, the only reason was, your parents were on the coaches back and he had to cater to them. if you did play, you were probably a guard, that is sat on the far end of the bench and guard the water cooler. now this is a neg. post. how does it feel. my first and last to this issue.

this is one thing I hate about message boards...90% of communication is done through facial expressions and tone of voice, so it's very, very easy to misread someone's comments if the exact right words aren't written down.

I think you're both wonderful Indian fans, and wonderful people. And the Indians are a wonderful team. With a wonderful history. And there is, naturally, a wonderful documentary chronicling that history.

We are the Indians, folks. It's more than a film...it's a motto that unites us.

whoa....touchy touchy! Maybe you should reread your own posts and realize that everytime someone tries to point out something great about a team or player you find a way to negate it. Personally I hope future teams and players continue to shine and break every record any of us ever set. I wouldn't try to pass myself off as an old foagie if I were you either.

WOW- have I missed a lot!!!!! This "having a job" thing sure does stink! I wish I didn't have to work, which it appears the majority of people on this post don't, so I could read and post on here all day, too! luvit and shljunkie definitely have a personal problem with each other...maybe you two should just start private messaging each other instead of hashing out your business in front of the thousands of southeasternohiopreps posters....

Sorry I haven't been on in a while buddy, but first off I was making no claim as to sparky's identity. I do however know that sparky is a north adams fan and he/she will definitely be begging for wins all season long, for many seasons to come. LOL

As to all of these Padding them stats remarks, DUH, everyone does it. If you were good enough to score on a team anytime you wanted I think you'd do it too. And Blake didn't walk over to johnny and say, "Hey coach do you think you could let me stay in a little longer so I could score some more points?" Coach Lawhorn makes his own decisions based on his own opinions. He isn't trying to get some brownie points with the public. If he decides to beat a team by 40 there is nothing anyone is going to do about it other than complain about it on this forum.

luvit, you are clearly a loser. nice try on making people feel guilty about your age and inability to play high school ball though. And to be completely honest I don't remember one player for peebles who has ever got playing time just because of their parents.

P.S.- I can't wait to see Andrew get 1,000 tomorrow!!

GoBigRed, you shouldn't make claims to who you think people are if you aren't 100% sure. Becuase I know you are 100% wrong. I do, however, agree with you in that there is rarely a team that tells their best scorer to "hold back"- don't shoot or I'm going to take you out. The best player on a team is left in the game to get theirs- that is "perk" to being a scorer- scoring points is what wins games. No coach is going to take out the player who scores those points. HOWEVER, I believe there are coaches who try to please people, families, other coaches, and players. I could tell you tons of people (parents) who have called to a coach to complain that their kid wasn't getting enough playing time, and sure enough, the next game they are starting, playing more, sub'd earlier in the game.

well, well, well, red, It's very clear that the reason you haven't been on in a while is because you just joined dec.30.(at least under that name) newcomer just like me. lol

as far as me being a loser. i dont know where that came from i was just giving my opinion and telling the truth of the matter

go andrew hope you get your 1000th plus some

This is unfortunately going on right now :(. Can't think of a time when this strategy worked out well.

i have seen it work the other way, a parent complains about playing time and little henry gets less playing time. now maybe i am wrong but wouldn't a coach want to win, therefore, he would play the players that give him the best chance to do that? no matter who or what his parents are.
too many parents are wrapped up in who starts but it is who finishes that counts the most. starting is just an ego thing. i have seen many 6th and 7th men make major contributions and they did it because they accepted their roles and wanted to win. and many times their parents weren't happy because starting was much more important to them than it was to the kid.

followthru - Thanks for starting an interesting and "hot" thread. It's much more interesting when there is bitterness and arguments. This is the best thread on the entire board.

As for second guessing Coach Lawhorn or any other coaches precious playing time decisions, keep in mind they are doing what they feel is best for the team and their players. If he is truly trying to "pad" Blake's stats, so be it. He's just trying to help the fine young man garner awards and acclaim that he certainly feels he deserves. Blake is fortunate to have a coach who cares that much.

To quote Wildman, "Mack Brown and Texas forever, Nick Saban and Alabama never!"

BINGO! This seems to be the case here as well.

I don't have a problem w/coach putting Wall back in to set the record. He's earned it and nobody seemed offended by it on either team.

Hey, we are talking about varsity basketball here, not peewee. Until the other team pulls their starters, leave your boys in as long as you want.
