Reviewing Holmgren's remarks in his first presser, he said he has not made up his mind about the coach but that he would view all things in the context of the whole season, not just the last three games. And, he is adamant that the Browns run the west-coast offense. Mangini is quoted making some disparaging remarks about the west-coast offenese. Bye-bye Mangeniuos. Holmgren also said some "tough" decisions have to be made about the QB situation. Bye-bye Quinn and Anderson. He also has not ruled out coaching down the line. So......Holmgren will put the pieces he wants in place, then take over as coach in the next few years and in his mind, win a Super Bowl from the sidelines. That's a lot to chew on right now. Go read his press conference and argue with me on this.

I don't see Holmgren coaching again, but I do think that Quinn or Anderson will be gone after this year and another QB gets drafted. I think the Browns will have a new coach next year without a dout.

I say trade a couple of draft picks for a player or 2 to help out for next season.

I love what the Browns are doing with young and hungry players getting their chance. I wouldn't mind seeing them get even younger next year if we can select the right type of players. Tell me fellow Browns fans that you haven't been excited by what you've seen developing in December? I, for one, didn't see it coming this year. Don't spend money on high-dollar free agents who only want paid for what they accomplished with their former team. Do it right this time, please!?!?

The way the offense was most of the year and the QB play was all year why not look at changing a offensive coach? The Browns defense played well at the end of the season and Harrisson ran great. If the Browns do not reward Cribbs soon players would not want to look at playing for the Browns. Only time will tell how things will show and how Mangini and Holmgren work together.

If Cribbs leaves the Browns he will get PAID. With Mangini coming back for another year things should be fun. THE WHOLE STAFF COMING BACK???? REALLY????

Since the Browns aren't willing to pay Cribbs maybe the Bengals will pony up when he hits the market!

Cribs isn't worth much more than 2 mill a year.

Holmgren is correct in saying take it or leave it.

Cribbs has 3 years remaining, and he can either play, or not get any money, as NFL checks are based
on game weeks played. No play, no pay!

Now, I would imagine that 1.4 mill was a starting spot, and they will negotiate from there.

Cribbs is the best option Cleveland has, but a a special teams guy and someone with 6-10 offensive touches per game in
the offensive gameplan it's not worth the money they are seeking.

Now, if they give him a base pay, and load it with escalator clauses, such as a bonus for Pro-Bowl, a bonus for number
of receptions, a bonus for number of rushing yards, and a bonus for number of non-return touchdowns. Then
he will be getting his pay based on being more than just a return guy, and he'll be earning it.

It's just like any other negotiation, Browns send a lowball offer, and Cribbs send out an offer that is just stupid.
