Good step forward after last week. The Offense looked very balanced and efficient in the first half. Defense looked good covering the pass for the most part. Still some issues to work on, penalties and fumbles, but there was progress. Without the fumbles and penalties the score is more like 47-14 or worse. On to next week with a game at Meigs. Learn and Improve every week and this team can be very good.

Not piling on Piketon here, but they should be better than they are. That program will not be what it could be without big changes and it's a shame.

really your not trying to pile it on lol thats hilarious and minford balanced lol no passing game at all and as where piketon is all those players out there are juniors 24 of them back for next yr so its good you got it this yr, and it was turnovers in the first half that gave you the big lead. I swear some peoples kids........... buy them books and all they do is look at the pictures.

^^^^^^Nice post! Minford lost 1 fumble and had maybe 8 penalties to Piketons 1 lost fumble and several penalties and you play the what if game! lol Then you pile it on and say the program is in bad hands!

I guess humility and a long term memory are lacking down there. Piketon picked up the emotion late in the 2nd qrt but was already down by 19. You cant wait 2 qrtrs against a good program.

Piketon went 1-9 3 years in a row back in 00-02 before Gullion took over. They havent been under 500 for the last 6 seasons, I think he is doing ok. They replaced 6 starters on both sides of the ball from last year, and this year only 5 seniors see time, 18 jrs and soph return so they are getting better.

Congrats to the Falcons! See that isnt so hard.

Yeah since 2007 Piketon is winless against Minford. 0-4.

If you're satisfied with what you have I wish you well.

Beating Huntington Ross, Southeastern, Unioto, Northwest, Green, Paint Valley, and Notre Dame is really something to beat your chest about. When is the last time Piketon made the playoffs? When is the last time they beat a team that made the playoffs? Since 2001 they've beat a team with a winning record only 5 times, none of those teams made the playoffs, I did the research. If that's success then just keep on keeping on.

I guess you'll get us next year though, I've heard that the last 4 times Minford has played Piketon.

Piketon has got to be the dirtiest team ive seen. Coming from a good source, #27, he said you guys were choking him all night long as well as one of your guys punching one of our guys. Maybe next year Piketon....

Add to that their fans who were screaming at the officials all night (who apparently were witnessing their first ever football game and have no clue of the rules), one kid on the Piketon sideline yelling "break 27's legs" ALL game, the Piketon kid that tackled the Minford RB 8 yards deep in the end zone after the TD and then tried to alligator roll him........

I could go on and on. Minford should have won this game 42-14 IMO. Piketon played hard, but they need to clean it up a little bit!

So no minford player has ever done anything wrong or no minford fan ever yelled or complained about the refs. As for the player yelling about hurting another that is wrong and hopefully dealt with.

Some of you minford fans need to just relax, no piketon fans are talking smack yet you put down our program and kids.

Your talent will run dry eventually and you will struggle, remember humility isnt a horrible thing!

Stay classy!

I can remember when Minford was the door mat of the Soc. Had to play soc 1 teams and NW just to get a win. Remember Hs sports run in cycles. Unless you recruit...... Stay Classy.

Piketon has a weak schedule so they can win 6 to 7 game a year. Step up and play some big dogs. You can start with West Portsmouth, the Bur, Valley and even Portsmouth. I bet you would see the win column drop off fast. But the Streaks will stay playing team they know they can win 90% of the time. But you will never be a good strong team until you start play better teams. You’re only good as the teams you play. So I consider Piketon running in the middle of a SOC1 teams.

Piketon plays 7 league games per year; can't do anything about that. I like playing Waverly each year, hope this continues. As for the other two non-league games, I don't really care who they play. I hope for wins, but can't do anything about how strong these teams are. I doubt if Coach Gullion wants to play patsies simply to record the W's. I like the idea of playing different teams every 2 years.

If Piketon plays a weak schedule, then I guess we should pick up Valley and drop Minford.

Man I hope not all Minford fans are like what is posting here. Not 1 Piketon poster has put down anything about Minfords program and we get called dirty and a crappy program!

Winning sure does change some people.

I didnt see any personal fouls penalties on Minford or kids on the Minford sideline BEHIND the coach yelling "Break #??'S LEGS". Take it however you want, if that your coach puts up with crap like that, time to shop for a new coach! That wouldnt fly in Minford or anywhere else in the SOC II. Very classy. I loved how the Piketon fans were yelling "Hurt him" and "Knock him out of the game".

If you want something CLASSY said about your program, THEN ACT LIKE IT ON THE FIELD!

Nice try. Valley would dominate Piketon every year also.

Nobody is calling you out, simply spelling out some of the dirty things going on at the game last night....in case you missed the obvious.

I understand you guys want everyone to think you have a great team so you try to build yourself up and thats fine whatever turns you on, makes you happy, kick starts your mule. But from the film I watched 1st half minford 2nd half piketon. when you guys get behind this yr your gonna be in big trouble without ANY passing AT ALL and your gonna see 10 in the box from here on out when a team can shut it down only playing 1 corner!!! the 1 poster said he was happy with the balance wow 4-11 for 7 yrds and a pick uh huh lol 1 completed pass beyond the line of scrimmage for 8 yrds 3 others for -1 hahahahahahaha take your win and go fools.

Congrats to Minford on the win and good luck to Streaks in their next game. Piketon will need to re-focus and get ready for league action.

When your getting 6 ypc you really dont need to pass. We were just throwing some passes for practice.... when I played Piketon they were always classy. IE pick up a RB after they were tackled, helping a lineman up etc..But this year was just blatant dirty. This may be one lone act but throwing a kidney shot to one of our guys infront of the whole Minford crowd isdirtier than Paris Hilton. Hopefully the coaches will see it on film and correct it....here's a hint check out 81 awesome blocking LOL
