Most of the schools are in the same sectional with the exception of Paint Valley moving into the Northwest sectional which would have had 11 teams. The move for South Webster to Athens is because they were the closest school of the bunch to Athens. I believe Belpre is in Divison IV for the first time and Trimble moves up to Division III.........so it evens out a 10 teams per sectional. It just happens that South Webster was probably the best team from the Northwest sectional.

Glad to see Green move to the Northwest sectional. Is this the first year this has happened? It's a long haul from the Furnace to Athens for a sectional. There have been years that we played in the district tournament and it was a closer drive than going to the sectional game!

Yeah that seems a bit crazy for your sectional to be in Athens.Seems more like a district site to me.

The only reason that i was saying that i wished that they would have left it alone is i can leave work when i get off reg time an drive to Northwest for the sectional game but now ill have to take a half a day off for it. Ol well 1game in Athens then back to Jackson then back to the Convo!!!

Saw on WKKJ that Paint Valley beat Piketon last Thursday and are now 5-10. Looks like they may be the 'wildcard" in that Sectional. They have lost a few very close games and playing in the SVC may have them ready come touney time.
