How good is Peebles ? How about schedule and results. Could not find any info. Maybe a roster, also. Thanks !!

I think we better stay focused on Valley, before we worry about Peebles.

Just curious. If Ironton gets far enough, they could meet up; and know nothing about them.

I don't know if the Peebles team is as good as last year's North Adams..but they are in the same type. North Adams was a bit bigger...but a similar game I'd guess. Portsmouth would have to be structured and good that evening....but Portsmouth could beat them.

Chesapeake got the best draw in my opinion. They lose to Portsmouth the night before the draw, they dont play nearly the schedule Portsmouth played and they get a 3? WOW! I think Portsmouth should be 3 and Chesapeake 4 Valley 5. Oak Hill got the #1 and i dont really have a problem giving Persin the #1 because of their title last year. however, they have played a weak schedule. Ironton should have been #1 but conferences are always going to get the nod. IF Chesapeake is half as good as their draw, they should be in the regionals for sure, with their brackets. Same goes for Oak Hill. I am hoping that Portsmouth and ironton win out to face each other in the district title game.
It appears that the "rumor" that the two conferences didnt want to match up with Portsmouth, was correct. They gave the Burg up to oak Hill and they made ironton play either Portsmouth or Peebles to get out of the district. Ironton, peebles and portsmouth may very well be the top 3 teams in the district and they are all in the smae bracket. Oh well, just win or go home from here on out.

No doubt whoever comes out of our bracket is going to be very tough to beat in the regionals.

The other night when I watched 'Peake take on Portsmouth, it was my third time watching 'Peake and 2nd watching Portsmouth. By what games I saw I would have to believe that Portsmouth is the better team. I watched 'Peake get handled by Waverly and watched them play up at the Ironton Classic. I watched Portsmouth play Gallia Academy earlier in the year without Horn and Deon and they are a totally different team with them 2 boys. And to that fact that Portsmouth plays a hell of a harder schedule then 'Peake does makes me think they should have been seeded better. There are alot of good teams in this area that would struggle in the SEOAL. Good Luck to the 'Peake, but I really believe Portsmouth got the shaft.

they need to get rid of sectionals and just seed 1-30 or however many teams there are, driving from the OVC to jackson for the first game is not a sectional game anymore.....this would also eliminate a 10-8 team getting the number 2 seed

I have watched Chesapeake and Portsmouth play as well as those two teams play Ironton and I would have to say that Portsmouth is a better team than the Peake. If Portsmouth can keep their cool and continue going inside to the big guys and have their guards hitting the 3's they will give teams fits in the tourney. They should have beat the Peake by more than they did on Saturday...they got away from going inside like they did the first half. But that's just my opinion.
