Does Green play any teams that are not D4?

1. South Webster
2. Manchester
3. Whiteoak
4. Fairfield
5. Green
6. Clay
7. East
8. Western
9. New Boston
10. Notre Dame

That's how it should be if strength of schedule is taken into account. But with the politics that usually go on at seeding meetings, who knows. All I know is SOC I is WAY down this year and it should be taken into account when people are wanting Green seeded over Whiteoak just because their record is better.*

A lot can happen in the next two weeks...I'd say the #1 slot is a lock, but 2 through 6 is a shake up considering Manchester beat Whiteoak last week and plays Fairfield tomorrow...plus Green's schedule the rest of the way determines a lot. Any way you shake it, with only two getting out you will have to beat somebody of high quality. When you look at strength of schedule, Webster and the three SHL schools are a lot more quality schedule then the rest of the SOC I schools. Webster has played Waverly, Wheelersburg and will play Oak Hill tomorrow...Whiteoak played D II Hillsboro tough, Manchester beat Ironton at Ironton, which I believe is one of only two of Ironton's losses they have on the year...and Fairfield's non-league slate is comprised of 12-2 Washington C.H., Hillsboro, Greenfield McClain and Miami Trace. It's fun to sit here and debate this till we're all blue in the face, but in three weeks it will all be settled on the court, which is the exciting part...tournament basketball is great!

Manchester beating the Fighting Tigers....just that alone is enough to hype a two seed

With Fairfield beating Manchester tonight, I think they may have a strong case for the 2 seed at this point.*

Whiteoak is 1-1 vs Manchester and beat Fairfield @ Fairfield by 22.....with a tougher D4 schedule than most in this sectional.

Fairfield will get the 2, Manchester will get the 3 and Whiteoak will get the 6 so they all have to play each other it happens every year the SOC is scared to play a team from the SHL.

More likely scenario for the conspiracy theorists concerning the Valley sectional: SOC I schools put Manchester (SHL) as #4 seed v. Whiteoak (SHL) as #5 seed with the winner matched up against #1 seed South Webster (SOC II) in the sectional final. Then Green as the #2 seed in the sectional final vs. the winner of #3 Fairfield/#6 Clay. Guaranteed at least one SOC I school in sectional final and maybe two if Clay could spring the upset.

I'm beating a dead horse at this point, but strength of schedule definitely needs to be taken into account when seeding these teams, especially given how weak the bottom half of SOC I is this year. Won't happen though as conferences stick together come seeding time and each year somebody gets the shaft because of it.*

I believe that the SOC 1 is slightly stronger from top to bottom this year than last year. One scheduling fact I like to bring up is how many non-conference wins the SOC 1 schools combine for during the season. Last year, at the time of the drawing I think the number of non-conference wins for the SOC 1 was like 7 or 8. Maybe Im off but I think they have more than that all ready this year. I might look into this number and repost later. And, I understand that these teams play a 14 game league schedule. So that leaves 6 non-league games times 8 teams = 48 non-conference games. I would bet that most years the non-league record looks something like this 10 Wins/38 Losses.

The SOC1 is still the weakest conference in SEO though.
