EP is playing well.

In the eyes of Eastern fans....how is this team compared to the team of a few years ago that won many games and went to the district semis vs Whiteoak...the year SW won it all. 2006?

I believe they beat Minford by 20 and are scheduled to play Northwest next Tuesday.

IMHO, and not to take anything away from this years team, but the 2006 team was much better offensively. Zac Alexander could knife through any defense and he had several very good spot up shooters (AJ Osborne and company) to distribute the ball to when teams doubled and tripled him. The 2010 Eagles play solid defense and good "team" ball, but there isn't anybody offensively that is going to light up the scoreboard every night.

If this year's team gets hot from the perimeter (like they must have at New Boston to put up like 94 points), then they will be a tough out in the tourney. I wish them the best of luck!

Hounds, All of your posts are always very supportive of your team and that is fine. But, I've noticed you rarely give credit to any other area team?

I guarantee you Manchester will be very nervous playing either of the Eastern's out of the Wellston sectional!

eaglesnest....fortunately the district isn't nearly as strong as SW isn't winning any state championships this year and I'm not sure anyone this year is as good as that Whiteoak team was that year either.

See where Eastern Pike won tonight. That moves their record to 14-2 (12-0 SOC1) as they can now say claim the title SOC champs.

Manchester Lost to Ripley Last night, they are now 9-8

Whiteoak beats West Union, moves them to 8-8

Fairfield loses to Eastern Brown, they're now 8-8

Fayetteville @ Manchester 2/13

Fairfield @ Adena 2/13

....could be interesting to see what prevails at the drawing tomorrow with so many teams so close. I like Ironman's evaluation. Hopefully my Wildcats can get a good seed.

Are you saying they are 9-8? Would a Wildcat fan confirm Whiteoak's record?

Thanks.

according to c103 they are 9-8 with games left against felicity, fayetteville, and lynchburg.
also on that schedule they are making up games with felicity and fayetteville on the same day, tuesday, feb. 16th.
c103 has manchester at 8-8 with three left, two with fayetteville and one with peebles. that schedule only has them playing 19 games. fayetteville is at manchester tonight.

fairfield is 7-9 with games against adena, peebles, west union, and paint valley. they are playing adena tonight.

According to what I see on C103.......Fairfield is 7-7, Whiteoak 7-8 and Manchester 8-7.
What are you looking at that is different?
