Minford Pee Wee Basketball Tournament
Minford Pee Wee Basketball Tournament
The Minford Pee Wee Basketball League will be hosting its annual all star tournaments. Dates are February 22 through 28 for 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grade girls; and March 8 through March 14th for 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grade boys. This tournament is for school teams only and no travel teams permitted, all kids must be from the same school. Entry fee is $100 and is due by Feb. 14th for the girls tournaments, and Feb. 28th for the boys tournaments. Licensed officials will be provided. The tournament is for each of the individual grade, and they are not being combined.
Each tournament will be either a round robin or pool play format with a single elimination tournament to determine the champ from the top 4 seeds. Each team will be guaranteed 3 games.

Thanks minford17 for posting this separate from the tournament post. We had a successful tournament last year, and should be adding some new features to the tournament this year. Stay tuned.

check updates about tourney above. Changes to tournement: No double elimination, we will have pool play instead and a single elimination tourney to decide champ. Single elimination tourney will be for the top 4 seeds. This guarantees each team in the tournament 3 games.

Currently have spots open in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade girls tournaments. We will continue to accept teams up until Friday Feb. 19th. Please call Tim Stamper (285-5925) or Angela Greene (456-6720)for 5th grade and Autumn Risner (820-2948) for 3rd and 4th grade at the numbers listed above.

How will you determine the seedings in the 6th grade if teams have the same record after pool play. Most tournaments with two pools have the one seed in pool A play the four seed in pool B, the two seed in pool A play the three seed in pool B, the three seed in pool A play the two seed in pool B, and the four seed in pool A play the one seed in pool B. Just was wondering.

You are correct in your assumption. Tie breakers for seeding will be 1. Head to head, 2. Points allowed, 3. Point differential, 4. Points scored, 5. Coaches will run a mile and see who has the fastest time , just kidding a coin toss.
