Hughes is that good. Amazing for a 4th grader. I didn't think he scored 40 points, but I wasn't counting. I know he shot the lights out from 3 point range. Coal Grove was able to pull within three before he hit a couple of 3 pointers to get the game back under control. Coal Grove has a good team. It was nice to see a good game between these two teams! Both teams and their fans were class acts!

I think pool play ends Friday night, so i would think brackets will be up around 9 or so, once the games have ended.

Once again 83 points were scored with Piketon leading by 5 at the half but Portsmouth ended up winning by 11.

2. Piketon 2-0
3. Clay 2-0

Minford wins tiebreaker over Piketon and Clay by giving up fewer points 34 for Minford, 36 for Piketon, and 57 for Clay.

Seeds 4-9 will be finalized tomorrow night after the South Webster and Waverly game.

Clay will play at 12:00 Saturday vs the 6 seed
Piketon will play at 1:00 Saturday vs the 7 seed
Minford will play at 2:00 Saturday vs the winner of #8 vs #9 winner

Coaches will be contacted Friday night to be let known their seeding and opponent for Saturday.

I am very appreciative of all 5th and 6th grade fans and parents exhibiting great sportsmanship throughout the tournament thus far. I hope this continues throughout the remainder of the tournament. I have seen some tourneys where this has not been the case, and I am very glad that everyone has shown the correct examples to set for all these young men.

Last week in the coal grove tourney, minford beat coal grove by 5. close game all the way through, minford pulled out at the end
