I am not defending past or present actions but if I wanted an explanation then I would contact her and ask for one.

BTW, Some combination of AEP and Midstate Construction constructed the River Valley baseball field and I think at their own expense.

Dr. Evans supports all activities. She wants education to be first. Thats really the way it should be for our children. We are all supposed to be here for the support of our children. Our communities follow their respective sport programs and will continue to..... She has recently been attending games of both schools. I think she understands the importance of extra curricular activities in our school buildings. She is an educator not a coach. She has done a good job in that area of her expertise. Listen, under her administration look what has been accomplished. We now have new facilities, sporting complexes coming, and entering of leagues. I think she has done her job to the fullest. What can she actually do to better our programs? She has bettered our education, built new schools, supported our teams, handled many problems of the construction of the schools, and answered every question that has been asked. She is a very busy person and still finds time to take care of all these situations. Just look at the upgrades of what our kids have now. We should be proud of our administrators. Go ahead bash me......

"...HMMMMM,,,Isn't that what she gets paid to do???? Every super in the state should be doing this..... And don't give her the credit for building new schools.....The tax payers did this......

If he did, that is up to him. He is a Parkersburg guy, and the last time I checked Vincent is closer to Parkersburg than Gallipolis is. But I seriously doubt he did.

I honestly believe that Coach Eddy is doing a good job with the kids in the weight room. Every day I get told about all the heavy lifting they are doing and that he is also making them do plyos.

Just look at a picture of the coach and you can see that he is a hard nose son of a gun (absolutely no disrespect intended there).

Give him some time and he will get things turned around. It was a completely new system for the kids last year. Those things take time. Look for Gallipolis to be much improved and much stronger next season.

How many Division IV schools have the buildings we have around our area? Kissing butt,,,,,,no. Just the facts. Div IV Schools in our area are: Miller, Trimble, Waterford, Reedsville Eastern, Southern, Symmes Valley, Beaver Eastern, St. Joe, Green, New Boston, Sciotoville East, amd the list goes on and on. I think South Gallia is a very lucky school to have what we got. Just proud to be a part of it. Not sure about the funds but the committee for gridiron for glory has a big part in it. I havent seen any school of our size build anything......I hope every child can get a new facility. Everyone deserves the opportunity to enjoy their schools.

When compared to the list above who do not have new buildings, South Gallia doesn't fit in because all of those are the ONLY HIGH SCHOOL in those school districts. South gallia benefits greatly from having a big brother school like River Valley.
if the tax base of mercerville patriot and Gage were all they had to draw from I am sure there wouldn't be a new school for South Gallia. Don't insult those other districts by comparing that way.The only reason there are new county schools is that they piggybacked on our Red Dot campaign here in town. I remember a lady who worked on the Red Dot with me who got very upset when the county decided to do a bond levy at the same time. She said "we have worked our a**es off to do this right and now there gonna use our public awareness work to get their schools. Who from the county has worked like we are volunteering on this project?"

i agree with lady cat said... dont compare sg to those schools.
eastern beaver probably the newest that you mentioned and it is probably 15 yrs old... your gym does not compare.
what is seating capacity for games in sg gym?600?

compare rv to fairland, sp, rh, wellston, southeastern... all schools built in the last 6-8 yrs. even cg, swebster, northwest, pwest, valley and peake that are probaly 15-20 yrs old. compare to renovations at ny, albany..... all diii schools...THERE IS NO COMPARISON!
is rv going to host the ga games at their home court? how many people will be turned away or better yet, how many will not bother going because of lack of seating? will they continue to play the game at urg? waht about comencement? will the gym accomodate the croewd if it has to be moved inside?
have read on hear many times their is no weightroom at rv.... now they have one? where is this new weightroom? was there an addition to the new school? a new building seperate from the school erected? no, the way i understand the new weightroom is in the phys ed "room" along with wrestling practice and phys ed storage........... it is ridiculous imo. was a trainers room built at sg?
i ahve attended games baskeball games in both facilities this year along with many that are listed above by both me and you... i just dont see the comparison when youu consider the buildings are NEW.
more thought should have went into the building of sg and rv.... what is the class size at sg compared to rv? has rv already outgrown their new building... hope they havent sold the portables in cheshire. they will be needed... but anyone with common sense new it would happen. the pwers that be were told it would happen.... students in bidwell area attending ga would start to return and more students in sw att area would attend new rv if located in bidwell. as a taxpayer, i feel cheated........ but, this is just one opinion. maybe I am in the minority.

lady cat........... there were those in the county that did work very hard on the campaign for new schools in the county. dont discredit their efforts..... to say the county piggybacked on the red dot campaign for the village schools is assuming.............. did you ever think maybe neither would have passed a levy if not for the other? village didnt want to see the county with new schools so we better pass our levy and vice versa??????????? am not psitive but didnt the county levy pass by wider margin?

im done for now

I love that even when we get to talking about simple things like building new schools RV and GA still have to "win".

Everybody got new schools. Enough.

The idea to run the two bond issues at the same time was a brilliant move! Some one counted on just what happens on here between the city and the county and guess what, they were right! We have three new schools and yes there will always be things that could have been different if each and everyone of us was doing it but you know. We have what we have and now we will have to make it work.

Two of the following are true, one is a lie.

1. The current coaching staff at RVHS would be surprised to hear that.
2. The new guy is going to consume the rest of the OVC with lightbolts from his eyes and balls of fire from his arse.
3. Once again, people who don't know anything are posting all kinds of FACTS in order to muddy the waters.

Can you guess which two are true and which is false?
