Ohio junior high teams can play a maximum of 14 games plus one post season tournament. The number goes to 16 next year. I'm not sure how many games WV teams can play.

Hey ManDan, I have not heard a score on Clay and ISJ but I did see the ISJ point guard on crutches a week or so ago. Despite being only a 7th grader, she might be ISJ's best player.

I have tried multiple times to get a game with them and I'm still trying. I am extremley close with the Burdette family talk to them on a daily basics. Jeanna is one of the top players in the nation so yes I do know who you are talking about.

If you play in WV under the WVSSAC you are limited to 20 games, but we are not in that so we are not limited to any rules. But as of right now our team will be under 20 games that is why I'm trying to get more now.

No disrespect to Ironton St. Joe but that would be a 50-60 point game. Thanks for the suggestion though

You my friend are arrogant . If noone around SEO can give you a game why are you here?. You need to buy a jet and fly your girls around the USA playing only the best. Good luck with that.

Saying "no disrespect" then predicting a 60 point win (whether true or not) completely contradicts the no disrespect.

Why get on here asking for a game versus a competitive team when you believe no one is good enough to play you?

Should've caught the Lakers when they were in Ohio last week. Will UConn be coming to West Virginia soon?

I edited my post. I am not with any team. I just respect the job that Nick Miller is doing with the ISJ Jr. high girls. Miller is the Head Coach at CGHS and at the same time coaching his Daughters at ISJ. You might not know but this is ISJ's first year fielding a team in years. Miller is doing a great job despite having only 7 girls. And yes your post was disrespectful to Miller and his players.

There is a couple of teams that would be competitive and that's who I'm talking to. Like I said before I'm just trying to stir the pot up a little and get one of those teams to respond. But I guess there not just you guys. Sorry I guess I"ll just leave it alone and if we beat someone bad you guys can bash me on another thread. Where are you from Ironman92???

hanging in my dd's bedroom are pins from Texas,Cali, Wash , Mich, Florida, and about 25 other states from national competition. I understand where you are coming from . But your post are disrespectful. anyway I'd like to further the discussion a bit to learn about your team. obviously your girls play the AAU circuit . How many off your MS team play together on your aau team ? when you infer your "team" is one of the best in the nation you talking your MS team or your aau team ? or are they one in the same ? thanks MD

also if you want to call out a few good teams --just do it without dissing the average teams. maybe post on JJhuddle , it sounds like you need col/cinci/cleve area teams for the comp. but it's out there --go find it and quit bashing the local folks.

Ok. I'm not getting into the fight on here but if you are looking for a team in the Scioto/Pike/Jackson Ohio county area they are bound by the 14 games per year plus one tournament. These girls are not permitted to play together on the off season as are other states. We have a two player per school rule to follow. The best teams in this area are Jackson 8th, Peebles 8th, Reedsville Eastern 8th, Minford 8th. I have seen all of these teams play with the exception of Reedsville and I would love to see them considering all the talent they have.

If you are not trying to get one of these teams to respond then I can't figure out who else it would be? I really enjoy watching any good Jr. High teams play, so please let us know which team. Like I said haven't seen Reedsville so I can't comment on them but would consider Jackson the best of the above.

Well my post may have sounded disrespectful but I didn't mean any disrespect to any team, so whoever I offended I'm sorry!!!!! Just trying to stir some teams up and those teams aren't responding. I have 6 kids off our MS team that play AAU ball but only 3 play together on one team and 2 play on another team and 1 plays on a team by herself. Not sure where I posted this team was one of the best in the nation, but I do think this MS team is one of the top 25 or so???? But I don't really have alot of teams to judge from with that statement so not for sure. But the aau team 3 of these girls are on is for sure one of the top in the nation and has been for the past 4 years. And all 3 girls start on that aau team, so I guess that is why I think the ms team is also might be also.

I do understand the two player rule in Ohio. In WV we don't have that rule, so on this ms team there is 3 kids that play on the same aau team. Those teams you mentioned would be the teams I want to respond if they have a game. I just figured with all the snow cancellations one of those teams would have a game they could fit in their schedule. But I not talking to Peebles because they did schedule us twice this year and I applaud them for doing so.

thanks for the repy and good luck in your search --occasionally you get lucky and that group comes around that can hang with national level competition. It's special when that happens. MD

Honest questions. How do they decide if kids go to HSJ or Our lady of Fatima. Also being a private school, do you guys draw from other areas? Last question, are all your players Parishoners. I know at ISJ they have some kids at times that come from the surrounding area but most go to church in either Ironton or Ashland. Thanks!!
