whats the number of games you can play in one season ?

If you play in WV under the WVSSAC you are limited to 20 games, but we are not in that so we are not limited to any rules. But as of right now our team will be under 20 games that is why I'm trying to get more now.

Why would any school team play this outfit? They are not a school team. They don't have to follow any rules. That's not exactly a level playing field.

Since you can't figure it out, Rhodes Scholar, I'll spell it out for you. I believe Lloyd Xmas and the reference are to why isn't your team a member of the WVSSAC?

While I'm on this thread, are we really talking about junior high sports? It's nice to win, but who will remember this and what will it really mean in life for these kids in 15 years or so? I would say nothing. Plus, what are the odds that this will translate at all to success at the high school level? I have had too much experience with kids that are uber-athletes as junior highers and when it comes to high school, they had already peaked as a 13 or 14 year old and are "done" by high school.

It is a shame that people don't get this fired up about academics.

this all started with hh1999 just trying to find some games for a very good middle school team and has turned into all this. i know most of these girls and they are a very good team who are very dedicated and work very hard to get where they are and as far as peaking out at the age of 13 the player probably wasnt very dedicated any ways. and these girls will be a very good high school team so you shold probably come and chech them out next year. plus they have a very good coaching staff that will keep these girls improving so good luck scott and hope you can play peebles this weekend cause they also have a good team.

Really and you know this how? Just a generalization. It wasn't just a player, it as a phenomenon that is well documented all over. The herd catching up with a fast starter/early bloomer. It is something that happens over and over and I have witnessed it many times in my sporting career from a player to coach to official.

Is this the same coach that coaches the boys team? If it is then why run the score up on a team? If your up 50 points tell your kids not to drive to the hole. You run open post and no fast breaks

I am confused some one told me that -Huntington St Joe was in the South Gallia jr high girls tourney ? but I seen this post on this forum (The Vinton County Lady Vikings are hosting a Jr High tournament , The 8th grade bracket includes the following: Jackson, Logan, Ironton, Portsmouth, Eastern Meigs, Huntington St Joe, and VC.) .
that they are playing at Vinton County.

Both Tourneys are playing Saturday, Feb. 13th . Please clear this up

It might be the Huntington St. Joe JV junior high team. They group all their kids together in WV at the Middle School level and then if they have enough girls left over for a second team they consider that their "B" team, or jv team.

St. Joe is not playing in two tournaments. Only playing in the Vinton County tournament. And no there isn't any competion in Huntington.

Yes it is going to be a super tournament..... and we are a super middle school team but make no mistake because Eastern is also a super middle school team and could beat us thats why I search to find the best teams so we can be challenged. But all you guys that want to make smart remarks and hide behind screens names or say your not with any team are cowards stand by what you say and dont be afraid to back it up. I make ALOT of bold remarks and sometimes type things I shouldn't but I always stand by them and state my name. scott johnson..... Ports. West girls are currently undefeated, along with Clay which I believe is also. Minford only has
one loss that is to us, and very, very good.....they are also in the s.o.c. tourney. But, like I told you
earlier, we will play you. I also think you will have your hands full with Jackson, that's who I'll be rooting
for.

Yes, I think Jackson is very talented also and that would be a good game. I had just heard that Jackson beat Peebles or the other way around but it was a 1 point game, in a preseason game. And last week we played Peebles and going into the 4th qrt. the score was 56-16 then we subbed and ended up winning by 34. But on any given day Jackson could beat us and I would rather Jackson beat us by 2 than to play someone else and win by 40. But one thing is for sure if we get beat we will go down swinging!!!

Clay's center is out with an inj so they are at less than full strength but they are pretty good, MIGHT be a player or two short of being able to hang with H-st joe , but with their solid guard play I'd expect them to be able to hang , even against top flight competition. Curly is the real deal and freeman shoots well. would be a real good matchup VS West. are they playing in the same end of season tourney ? MD
