Did the Burg only play one game on Saturday? I thought it was a 3 team round robin and they would play 2 games.

So the middle infielder combo of Elliott and Kemper have a total of 10 hrs. You don't see that in the HS game too often! Go Burg!

Doesn't Luster play 2nd or SS when Elliot is picthing so if you add in his numbers it's even more impressive.

Burg/Valley score a little surprising. Seams like Valley cant beat the Burg in any male sport!

Burg over Minford 7-1 tonight. I shouldnt mention this but i am going to and please dont say the name if you know it, but the home plate umpire has no buisness calling varsity games. The boys on both teams had no idea where the strike zone was. I am sure he is a nice guy but that definately did not help the hitters on both teams by calling out of the zone strikes. ;-) Go Burg

I agree. But to be honest, there's a lot of that around here anymore. Tonight's zone was pretty bad though.

I heard the Burg beat Ironton tonight by the score of 6-4 I think.

Congrats to the boys on the big win.

Burg did win 6-4. Bryce Hall pitched thru five with Nic Kemper coming in. Andrew Elliott went long over the deep left field of a very nice Ironton ball field. They should be very proud the their facilities, nice. ;-) Go Burg- Home tomorrow night against Oak Hill

Burg beat Oak Hill 11-1 in 5 innings. Luster went the distance and Timberlake hit his first HR of his varsity career. The Pirates hit the ball well all the way through the lineup and played great D as well.

Didn't I hear Estep say the seniors on this team had went 99-9 in varsity play, which would be 100-9 after last nights win? That is very impressive.

Yes he did say that. That is very impressive. You can tell that Coach Estep loves those boys with all his heart what a great Coach to care the way he does about his players. This whole team is a great baseball group of yong men who really love and respect the game. These six seniors are great role models for the younger players. ;-) Go Burg
