Waverly will have to shut down Valley's two scorers. So far this season this has been the secret to their success. Last night they shut down Leslie and in their two league losses Ondera and Wes Loop only had 11 points apiece.

This will be a classic SOCII heavy weight fight. Tigers better bring their A game with them.

Hige game for both teams if either want to challenge Oak Hill in the second half of league play. Johnson for Waverly has proven difficult to pressure. For Valley to win, they are going to have to turn up the heat. In a half court game, the Tigers are too athletic and big for the Indians.

Valley matches up with height if coach V chooses to do so he didnt last game with Waverly and they owned the boards . Valley must play like they did at Webster to have a chance for the W . I can tell you right now that Valley is focused like I havent seen so far this season it is going to be a war. No predictions here but you dont want to miss this one.

Everything points at Waverly winning this game, I think they are more athletic and have more talent than Valley does. But something tells me Valley is gonna pull off the win. I wouldn't quite call it an upset, but I think Valley is gonna win by around 5.

This should be a great game. Waverly and Valley both need this win. I don't have a prediction, but the more physical team will win imo.

I've seen Valley and no way can they match up with height.. 6'6", 6'4", 6'4." Valley has one player that might be 6' 4."

Soccerfix better check a little deeper on your facts Coleman 6'4 Dwyer 6'5 Chaffin 6'4 and if Coach V wanted to go all big add 6'3 Utley and at least 6'2 Yates I would say we can match up you never see the bigs together Coach V likes the smaller quicker defense .

N B Heat, Utely is about 6' 1" & Yates is maybe brushing 6'. Waverly controls the game like they did at home.

For Valley to win they need to learn from the flaws in their gameplan in the last matchup vs Waverly. They do have the size to play with Waverly inside if Villinger ever chooses to play the bigs at the same time. I know he prefers to press and play helter skelter basketball, but the zone and the ability to score in the post (last night) were great adjustments from previous games. Coleman and Dwyer have both provided quality minutes on the offensive end lately, and they need that to continue on Friday. They also need Yates to have a better offensive game this time around against the Tigers, which I expect to happen since he wasn't at the point last time they played. Yates has done a great job of play making and creating for everyone, and basically beating full court pressure by himself. But the biggest key could be the type of game the Indians get out of Utley. He has been red hot of late from behind the arc, and he's putting up some impressive scoring numbers as a result. The biggest thing is what adjustments will he make to the attention that he's sure to get when he catches the ball in his corner. He can drive to the bucket, but he does so with his head down and without any notion of passing the ball. Some nights he gets fouled or gets to the bucket and everything's fine, but he also forces too many shots and doesn't give the D any fear of helping off their men. And on defense they need him to stick his nose in there and rebound with all the size and athleticism the Tigers bring to the floor. But if he and Yates are able to score at the level they have of late, and Valley finds a way get their share of rebounds they Indians have a very good shot of winning this game. I'm just hoping I don't get called into work this Friday and I get to watch this one.

No the Indians don't quite have Waverly's size but if you think Yates is only brushing 6' then I suggest you buy a new measuring tape.

your right, the exact height stuff doesnt matter, but the valley kids do match up pretty well in heigth, but not in strength.

Coleman and Dwyer are both a legit 6'4, Dwyer pushing 6'5
Utley is listed at 6'3 but is more like 6'1 or 6'2
Yates is actually 6'2
Chaffin is nowhere near 6'4 though, he is only about 6'1

Valley does have a lot of length though.

Looking forward to this ballgame, just to see what changes have been made since the first go 'round. Valley seems to shoot well at home, and they are going to need to score some points on Friday because Waverly has some very skilled offensive players. It should be a good evening of basketball.

Waverly must do a good job of making Yates give up the basketball. I think we'll see Malone using that glove defense to make things tough on him. We have to force their bigs to win the ballgame for them...we can't let them sit out on the three-point line and hurt us from the perimeter. They are shooting the ball very well right now, and have a lot of confidence coming off that big Webster victory. I look for Jake Kretzer to bounce back and have a big game for the Tigers...keep that confidence up Jake and don't even think about not taking that open shot when you get it...they'll fall eventually.

Waverly has been off from the outside lately so look for that to turn around soon, hopefully at Valley. Shooters keep shooting the ball so keep shooting it boys. Don't be afraid to shoot the open look. Shoot it with confidence.

Defense will once again be the key to a Tiger victory.
