A 10-2 team this year and not many Eagle faithful out there? Where are you all at.....get behind this team and Coach Fitch and show your support!
I bet if he was 2-10 the threads would fill up.

I'm not an Eagle but I follow all ball teams and you guys have an outstanding coach. If you guys don't appreciate Coach F then I KNOW of at least 3 schools that would love to have him. Somebody let him know he has plenty of options if people don't support his efforts at Eastern.

I think that you may have read a little too much into my post. I was referring to the support on here and how there is limited activity on the Eastern threads. Unless you know something that I am unaware of, the community and fans support Coach Fitch.
Once again......my post was not intended to start any rumors or sling mud!

Live4sport,
I think you must be misunderstanding Hoggy's post????? I think he was trying to rally the Eagle faithful for a little support for the PLAYERS. And Hoggy is right, if the Eagles were 2-10 then these threads would be lit up with negative comments. Sad, but many on here enjoying "kicking" when teams are down instead of encouraging and lifting them up.
I believe the majority of Eastern faithful are very supportive of what Coach Fitch is trying to accomplish at Eastern. And yes, most of the Eagle faithful know that other schools have sought him to coach there teams. HE DIDN"T GO ANYWHERE...so his heart must be at EASTERN!
I wish this years team continued success. I honestly thought after losing Osborne and Helton to graduation that they would be around 10-10 on the year. I AM GLAD THEY HAVE PROVEN ME WRONG! Bring home the SOC title and make that trip back to the CONVO!

An improvement to the Eagles non-league schedule would be playing in the Classic at the Convo(used to be Wendys Classic or invitational not sure what its called now) There is always quality programs and it gives teams a chance to play at the Convo. The Eagles have played in it in past years, plus it might calm the jitters if they can get there come district time. It has been a few years since the Eagles have made a trip to Athens, will be disappointing not to see them there this year.

Good Win Eagles. Played sloppy at times, didn't expect the game to be this close but a win is a win. As posted on another thread, you guys are gonna get every teams best effort from here on out. Notre Dame brought their A game and you guys held on strong. The last two games against Western and ND were closer than anticipated. Gotta come out strong Fri for homecoming cause I'm sure NB will be bringing their A game as well to try and give the Eagles their first league loss of the season. Good Luck the rest of the way!
