Pomento is throwing shot this year for Athens. I saw her at the Indoor Ashland Univesity Camp throw out beyond the 40 foot line two weeks ago up there. Said she had not thrown since jr. high and did that. She said she is really going to concentrate on throwing this year.

I thought Pomento was at the league meet last year

First year for Athens at the TVC league meet last year she only threw discus at 112 feet I think and won it. She was a softball player who made it to the meets when she could. I think she will do a lot in the shot put now that she will devote time to it.
