Well you're forgetting about the new freshman Kody Wolf from southern. I'm sure he'll give all the distance runners a run for their money. In jjr high school he ran a 4:54 mile with trainers on. And he also ran a 2 mile with a time of 10:32 i think. So these will be some good races. And be looking out for Southern's NEW 4x800 relay team for the guys.

I'm pretty sure his last name ends in an 'e.' Not to play semantics with you. However, I don't think it insignificant that you literally copy & pasted this post into the other TVC thread. Add some actual insight, don't just promote "your guy." Insight doesn't come from spamming the same response in both TVC-related topics. Say your piece once, then let it be unless you have something new to bring to the table. I wish him all the luck in the world, but I hope you aren't him. If you are, get out there and run. If those times are accurate then I do see him being a force in the TVC and possibly winning one of those events.

I seen where he ran a 2:12 800 in the league Jr meet and a 4:50 1600 also in the jr league meet

Wolfe at the state meet ran a 4:59 which placed him seventh in division 2 and 3. He should be pretty strong though. and why didn't he run in the 800 at state also?

Shriver from Waterford was respectable at the 800 and other races but was pretty good at Long Jump. But noreply thats about all Waterford's got if that helps you any.

your right about athens winning the tvc and smith with high point athens just has to many people for any other school to hang with. they win with numbers and i hate it for my team (meigs) because we worked our butts off to be tvc champs and the year that we do athens comes in and just dominates and we get second. Athens wins with numbers and i see meigs in second again this year

This year Athens does not even care that much about TVC, I've heard that they have several big meets. They are more focus on harder D1 competition. This year Athens will have one of the strongest teams in a long time. And the numbers are not that much greater then any other school around, they just run several people in numerous events. I see these kids work very hard every day after school when i see them run by my house. It's not like they just get it...they earn it.

What will Athens have in the Shot put/Discus/110 hurdles and 300 hurdles?
Seems like they would be weak in these events--going by last year

Are you talking about boys or girls. On the girls side they have Anna Pomento who has a good chance of taking the state title this year, on the boys side it is mostly the same as last year, I haven't heard anything about hurdle events. I know that they will have kids running 3200 this year. You might see some new names in that event, many kids improved a lot since the cross country season.
