Early Favorites for SHL P.O.Y
Re: Early Favorites for SHL P.O.Y
even though the league does not choose a player of the year many people find out who received the most points in the voting and, therefore, there is an unofficial player of the year.

I suppose. Do you know any of the voting numbers for previous seasons? Im sure it was Kraig Unger last season but I dont know any others beyond that.

it really has not been that important to me but i have heard people talk about it in the past. sometimes it is on the internet within 15 minutes of the meeting. maybe not so much basketball but definitely in soccer.

You start off by saying that you don't want to take anything away from seaman then take 2/3 of your post doing just that.
Who turns in the stats to maxpreps?

From what I here around the gyms is that sure teams like to put a hand in Justices' face, but they know the kind of damage Seaman can do!
He can put a hurtin on you.
He can put a hurtin on you.

They make each other better. Focus on one, the other will light you up. They have different skill sets. I wouldn't want to play horse with Blake, hand in his face or not. Andrew is a great leaper with tremendous hands, and both boys see the floor very well. Blake couldn't get the looks that he gets without the threat of Andrew driving the lane or hitting a jumper from the other side.
It's fun to debate about who's better, but I think the main thing the boys care about is winning.
When was the last time Peebles had two players this good on the floor at the same time? In 1980 we had 4 players that would eventually be all-state...maybe then.

im not sure who puts the stats into maxpreps...but i do fully believe that neither greg or brett would cheat for their kids...im not close with either of the boys or their fathers but know them well enough to know that neither would want fake stats making them look better...i have heard though that stats are takin off of game film by both greg and brett and turned into lawhorn...so im sure if there was a mistake it would be caught....and i agree both boys play well with eachother and use eachother to their advantages...however all im saying is i agree that justice gets some easy looks thanks to seaman driving the lane but seaman also has an easier job getting to the lane knowin the other teams focus is on justice mainly...but i realize that more teams now are keying on both boys rather than just blake..therefore im restating myself..nothing i say is meaning anything against seaman...my only comment is that justice has my vote

yes it is the same coach...i dk coach justice very well however the people i have talked to about him have all said he puts his kids/family before anything.. and is a huge supporter of theirs...as well as his wife is too....and they have also mentioned that he makes it to as many practices as possible plus spending tons of time with them on their own shooting...(explains why justice is a nice shooter and from what i hear the younger one is following in his footsteps) if this is all true then he has tons of my respect due to the fact that he will sacrifice for his kids

Beau is gonna be great, he sort of reminds me of Andrew Seaman in the way he plays. He has the handle of a point gaurd and a great shot. I would say he will have a good shot at moving into his brother's old spot as a freshman. There are a couple other players on Beau's team this year that could also be very good in high school(Cody Ireton, the Schmitz? kid, etc.)

So plans are already in the making for Beau to go to Varsity as a freshman
I personally haven't seen him play but it would seem to me that it's a little early to make that call.

I was just speculating, no "plans" have been made for Beau to play varsity. If he ends up playing like his brother did as a freshman then sure I would let him play. Im just saying he and a couple other players on his team will be very good in high school and will undoubtably have an oppurtunity to play at the varsity level early, whether that is their freshman or soph. year. I guess we will just have to wait and see.
