Not you jimmy. indianmaniac and bucknut seem to like to stir....at least on this topic.

Not stirring anything....but it is all speculation unless it is the coach making the statement! ;-) ;-) ;-)

Just a couple updates:
Blake Justice needs just two more points for 1400 on his career.
Andrew Seaman needs 32 for 1200.

Obviously it was speculation, that's why it shouldn't be a big deal. Drop it.

Who says its speculation?

After saying that I agree let's drop it!

I can see where there would definately be a debate over POY :
I personally see three players with the stats to make a case:
Seaman - Justice- Cox
Take those three players side by side, put the % on the 3 ball and % on the FT then rank them in each column 1 thru 3

With the winner being:
Seaman - 13
Justice - 17
Cox - 18

I can see where there is difinately just cause for 3 fine players

Blevins should be in the mix too...no stats though. Where's Houndsare4real when you need him/her?

That may be so, but if every MVP/POY award was based on 3pt% and FT% im sure Ray Allen would have 3 or 4 NBA MVPs under his belt by now. :122245

Seaman contributes so much more than 3PT and FT. :12223

Agreed, he is without a doubt the leader of this Peebles squad. He always makes smart decisions and never cracks under pressure when the game is on the line. He will be missed next season.

I think you missed my point of ranking all 8 stats, just putting percentages on the attempts of those 2. All fine players

I was just simply asking for better clarification on the Rock's ranking system since that was the only two stats mentioned, no need to fuss. Obviously there is a lot more to basketball than 3PT% and FT%.

Andrew Seaman passes Dave Smalley on the Peebles all-time boys scorer's list. The top five are:

1. Bobby Huffman (1956) 1484
2. Blake Justice (2011) 1422
3. Marc Kremin (1987) 1296
4. Michael Cheesbro (2003) 1288
5. Andrew Seaman (2010) 1191

(Should be noted that Marc played 3 years varsity, the others were freshmen starters...and no, I'm nott aking anything away from any other player, or putting up an asterisk, I'm just saying he was a good ball player)

I would say Andrew has a good shot at ending #3 on the list.

A little off topic here, but is Blake Justice a Junior or Senior?

The guys played pretty well tonight against Eastern, it was argueably the biggest game of the regular season. Good luck on the rest of the year Peebles!
