Early Favorites for SHL P.O.Y
Re: Early Favorites for SHL P.O.Y
again, there is no official player of the year in the shl.
you can't beat small school basketball and the passion of their fans especially when they are winning. the big city schools have no idea what they are missing.

Great post PHS09... IMO...don't jump down my throat everyone but...I think if we had to go into the tourney with only one of the two, we would be hurting worse without Andrew than without Blake...again..just my opinion..I think Andrew plays his guts out on both ends of the floor, he's flat-out a pivotal player

Lets not be talking about playing without one of them, they both need to play very well for us to have success in this years district tourny.

We only play 7 people I don't think we can stand to lose anyone, but we would probably be 1 and done at the convo without either of them (Blake or Andrew). As far as SHL P.O.Y. which I don't think even exists I'd flip a coin they are both great.
Re: Early Favorites for SHL P.O.Y
why are you even having this conversation? take one of the two best players off of any team and they will probably struggle. especially when the two players make up about 2/3 of the teams scoring.

I agree with Sparky...that argument can be made for any great team that has existed or will exist in the future. The Bulls of the late 90s had Jordan, but he had a VERY good #2 in Scottie Pippen, plus a great defensive stopper and rebounder in Dennis Rodman, and a good bench in Kukoc, Kerr and a strong distributing guard in Ron Harper. They both are great, they both play hard and the whole TEAM play that they exhibit in their floor game is why they are unbeaten this late in the season.

So your saying the Bulls should've gotten league MVP as a team instead of Michael Jordan?? Lol it's an individual award. While it doesn't actually exist in the SHL it's still an interesting topic. Andrew and Blake are both exceptional players, surely we all know it takes more than one person to win a ball game but since were talking about P.O.Y. I say Andrew for sure.

Andrew Seaman is now at 1227
Blake Justice is at 1479(He needs 6 to break the Peebles guys record)

I believe Robbie Barnett ended his career at 1470. Not too many left on the SHL ladder for Justice! Cluxton and who else?

Ive also wondered this. If anyone in the SHL knows their all-time leading scorers please post. Scary thing is Blake is only a Junior, lol hes got Cluxton in his cross hairs.

You got that right. He put on a display in the second half with 11 of his 22 second half points coming in a span of about 40 seconds. I believe he had 36 overall.

Nathan Copas was in the mid to upper 1300s. 1360s maybe?

Cluxton had 2111, Blake has a shot at getting past that.

18rebs? Is that some type of SHL record? With most teams in the SHL having post men that are around 6'2" or 6'3" it is hard for them to deal with the length of the 6'6"-6'7" Blevins. Has he been hearing from any colleges?
Re: Early Favorites for SHL P.O.Y
Having seen Blevins play several times year I would have to believe he must have had some 30+rebound games I've missed, because I've seen him play a couple of times where he probably didn't have 10. As far as college looks, I'm sure he's getting them he's like Cox from FF there is a lot upside to 6'5!
