Queen like Gregg have two many years to leave were they are at to teach and coach at WHS. They both had to turn it down because the money was just to big of a drop from were they are currently at. I no that Coach Queen was totally up front with them when they called him about the job, so I would not say he had a bad interview, If he could have stayed were he is at and still coach in Wellston I think you would have already had your next coach. There is somebody out there that would love to take this job and i wish you well in your selection. I wish I would have applied:).....

If they hired someone last night, I'm not sure what the big secret is. Who is it? All the Rocket posters were sooo excited when they were going to hire Phillips and now a couple of them are really excited about whoever it is that they are hiring now. Where was the excitement for the guy they are hiring now when Phillips was in the running?

Flavor of the month BytheNumbers. Someone wants Rocky Road, then Tutti Frutti, and you end up with Vanilla. And Wellston posters, don't take this wrong. I am not saying that the coach you end up with will not be good for your program. I mean that if you want good coaches, your school board and administrators have to get off this 10 year thing. How about this . . . coach X applies for the Wellston job, he has 18 years experience, has won 6 conference titles, and been to the state playoffs 4 times. Are you gonna offer this guy 10 years? That is crazy. We are not talking that much $$$ based on a yearly school budget. I'll bet anything that Chillicothe didn't offer Ron Hinton 10 years! Oh well, same ol' same ol'. Someone on here posted that the Wellston admin/board could screw this up . . . I feel bad for the kids.

P.S Dabears , Ron Hinton is not teaching ,he is retired . He was only offered the coaching job .Sorry I dont know the details of his contract.

Boiler! I'm new to this site, but I can't for them to hire the coach Wed. so this thing will be over! And I believe this new hire will do a great job!
