93...Do you know the exact attendance for that day? There were a ton of people back in 2007 for the district final games between Chilli/Logan Elm and VC/GM as well.

Not sure Dundas ... the Convo seats around 13,000 I believe and there weren't not a lot of empty seats left.

That Saturday there were 5 District Championship and one ticket got you into all 5 games ... It started with VC/GreenField - but also included TRIMBLE/SOUTH WEBSTER ... EASTERN/SCIOTOVILLE EAST ... IRONTON & THE PEAKE WERE also there so that is a ton of fans ... a lot of them came early to see Danta, the rest were either VC fans or TVC fans ... I bet the attendence bordered on 9,000 to 10,000 people.

If I remember right the Attendance for the day was around 10,500. Maybe a little more.

I believe it ... the atmosphere was so freakin cool ... the only thing I have witnessed in my life - at the Convo - (34 years living in Athens) that even compared to that was when Ohio State visited Ohio U for a game ... I believe it was when Dennis Hopson played for OSU and OU had Reggie Rankin, Snoop Graham and that bunch .... the Convo was stuffed and every seat was filled ... But interms of High School, that day takes the cake for sure.

BTW ... HAS ANYONE SEEN THE WEB SITE LATELY? LET ME KNOW IF THE GREY BACKROUND IS GOOD OR THE WHITE WAS BETTER? THX

I thought 2004 was the year Greenfield & Logan Elm played for the D2 District Championship?

That would be on 3/12 @ 7:00 PM, with the winner going to the Regionals.

I think most Hocking schools would root for each other, if it weren't for a few of their fans. It is hard to read a post like Eagle Fan 2010 wrote and root for them. It makes you want to see someone beat them. The sad thing is most of the fans aren't like this and neither are most players. But that is the kind of things that create dislike of schools in the Hocking.

I would say that everybody down this way loves to see a southeast school no matter which one lay the smack on the boys or girls up north.

Ohio State (Luke Witte, Alan Hornyak and company) visited in the early 70's and Depaul (early 80's, Mark Aquirre years I believe) were the biggest crowds I ever saw at the Convo but there have been 5 or 6 different years that maybe 8,000 or 9,000 were there when one ticket got you in all day.

There is no doubt the belpre eagles have the best shot in the convo
From what i have heard, the have a ton of talent, just not real organized
If that comes together they will be tough!

I think you are correct on that. I am not sure anyone expected them to get to the dist finals.

I just got on this thread for the first time and found a few things interesting. Several posters stayed true to form on this one. By that I mean, one of them got on here with nothing to say about the topic of the thread but only to criticize and use profanity toward other posters. One who is never wrong  stated there is no way Eastern and Southern could meet until the regionals. Another took a few shots at the TVC. Glad to see they all stayed consistant.

It seems to be a common theme. That's alright though they will continue to bring home district championships in basketball and baseball.
