Week 4: Minford @ Meigs

Post by Bleeding Red »

Not sure how well Meigs has played so far this year, but Minford I think is still trying to find their identity.

I think Minford will be too much for Meigs again this year.

Thoughts?

I know this a big"if" , but if Meigs can cut down on mistakes they should make a good game this week. Watched the game friday at Meigs, they had 14 penalties for 125 yrds. Two of which killed two scoring drives. Defence played really well held RV to 52 total yards.
All in all this a test game for both teams. The one with the fewest mistakes wins.

I'll take Meigs in a close one at home...

Meigs 13

I'm waiting to see the results from this one as it will help clear up some questions about both teams in my mind. Traditionally Meigs plays much better at home than on the road and that could be a factor.

For anyone going to the game from Minford, I believe the Sternwheel Festival is going on in Pomeroy this weekend. The levee is only about a 5 minute walk from the field. Good food at the festival and plenty of boats usually! May want to go early and check it out!

I think Minford moves on to 4-0 after this one.

Good luck Falcons.

That would be tough consider that Minford has already lost. :122246

Minford needs this game...Meigs is currently .05 points ahead of them in the playoff standings...which has them sitting in the 9th spot in the playoff points...A win over Meigs should move them into the top 8. Remember guys Minford moved up a division this year...so anything more than 2 losses could seriously hurt their playoff chances. I know its early, but the Wellston loss really hurt them this year. No more let downs :12224

The Falcons need to win this game. Like Maniac said, letting Wellston slip by hurt them. I don't think they'll let that happen again. As long as they continue to improve and show up with a purpose, Minford should win.

What all does Meigs have this year? Any speed, size, returning starters?
