Re: Gallia Academy 2010
Gallipolis and Portsmouth will probably always play Ironton. However, Jackson and Chillicothe might decide to end the series in the near future with neither team having as much history with the tigers. If that were to happen putting a full 10 game football schedule together could get very interesting. To be honest I will give their AD a lot of credit if he can get 9 games that don't span the entire states of Ohio, West Virginia, and Kentucky.
I've noticed that most of the Portsmouth fans seem to be thrilled that their teams are even competing for league titles and league honors after years of independence. They have taken a sense of pride in the fact that they are now part of the SEOAL. Most of the Ironton fans have been the exact opposite. I have heard nothing but negative comments since they rejoined the league. I wish them good luck in their independence because that seems to be exactly what they have always wanted.

I'll answere that for you.....NO.....We'll be just fine next year, anywhere from 8-2 to 10-0. Even though our schedule is fairly tough next year I think we will be that good.

Re: Gallia Academy 2010
Anybody know anything about the Blue Devils special teams like who will be kicking off, extra points, holder, field goals, kickoff and receive teams?
Re: Gallia Academy 2010
Brandon Taylor did a good job in his role on sp teams last year when asked to come in especially punting the ball. He kicks off well also. Last year we had 2 kick offs returned that I witnessed that the kicker tried harder to get out of the way than make the tackle and Brandon is a ball player not just a kicker and could fill the "safety" role. We have had 2 really good players in the past that aggrevated leg injuries throughout the season that were used to kick off though so it is really a double edged sword.

i think austin wilson will be a no brainer as the return guy for punt and kick off return

You are so right. The unsong hero's of the trenches, can and do make a team go. I look for a improved Gallia Team this year. They were in all the games they played last year, except for a couple. I don't think anyone in their League will take them lightly. A very dangerous type of team to play for sure. Good Luck

Taylor done great as a soph with a year of growing and strength on him he should be one of the top kickers/punters in the league
