I made a typo. East scored 12 straight points to open the third. The intended and accurate score was actually 36 - 34. I corrected it.

Congrats to Coach Fitch and the Eagles! Sounds like a nail biter. I told many a friend that East is a dangerous team with those Garret boys (just ask Symmes Valley )

I will eat my crow with honor. I never dreamed this team would win the league after the loss of 2 quality seniors last year (Osborne and Helton) and be sitting at 14-2, but I am so glad i was wrong!

It was 3 years ago. They were co-champs with Western. This is Lawhorn's and Montgomery's second SOC title as they were the only freshman on the team that won it last time.

Now to the game, Congrats Eagles on winning the SOC title outright. Many people thought they would have a good team this year, but sitting at 14-2 and undefeated in the SOC, WOW, now thats amazing. East gave them all they wanted, but once again Eastern showed poise in a close game and pulled through like they have on several other occasions this year. Learning how to win the close games like this can only help come tournament time. You boys have played hard all year and earned the right to be called SOC CHAMPS!!!

just a small correction this is lawhorns second title montgomery was not on the team his freshman year due to grades..

Main thing is Lawhorn and Montgomery both contributed greatly to the "2010 SOC CHAMPS" this season (as have the rest of the team) and I am sure this one is very special to them.
