I dont see anything wrong with this - Sparky. Not everybody is going to follow a high school team religously for 20 games. It is only natural for the occasional fan of a community to come out and support their team when that team is special and has a chance to accomplish things that are extraordinary (Like 20-0). I know that I head up to Athens and support whatever SHL team has made it - I dont consider myself "jumping on the bandwagon" - just wanting to support the SHL and see good basketball teams. Now that Ive said that, on the other hand, I dont believe in bragging up a team to God-Like status either or putting down other area teams. I have not heard anybody from Peebles make negative comments about other SHL teams or make comments about winning the State or anything. The only thing that they have continually brought up is winning the league going undefeated (Gold Ball) and a 10 page discussion on who is better between Justice and Seaman. I know you know and they know that this decade hasnt been the greatest for Peebles basketball but let them have their time in the spotlight because it is deserving.

actually sparky, I don't know if you've been to many Peebles games this year but it has been standing room only, if that, most all home games and on the road, we are bringing quite a crowd too. Actually, if people stop and think about it....this didn't just start this year...it started about 3 years ago...Coach McFarland's last season...the boys were really playing hard and people were starting to notice and the crowd was picking up pretty good. The team won the sectional and was met at OU by a magnificent sea of red...this carried right over into the start of last year and has continued on.

Could it be sparky, that you are really not that fond of Peebles basketball?Im sure that you dont bleed red.Alot of the people that are posting on here have been posting for a few years, not all ,but alot.We were 17-3 last year, pretty good season dont you think?Alot of talk about Justice and Seaman, but why not.If you are a fan of the shl and watched very many games you should know that they are the top 2 players in the league. Both are getting several college looks, are any other players in the shl?Maybe your just and old grumpy ex shl coach? When players are being scouted,no matter who they play for, theres going to be conversation about how good they are ,and where they might go.GO INDIANS

again, i have no dog in this race and have nothing against peebles. i just call them as i see them. as i have said i like your passion for your teams i just pointed out that many more peebles boosters are on here than in the past. as an old grumpy guy i respect the job that coach lawhorn is doing. i also feel bad for ex coach mcfarland as he was not given a fair deal. like i said i just point things out and let you guys respond. sometimes you misconstrue what i am saying and other times i just like to stir the pot and see what shakes out. some of you have very thin skin.

I definitely have thin skin! LOL. First, there is no need to pick at a wound that has completely healed, all the fights about Mcfarland are in the past. Second, clearly you did point that out to stir the pot. We are all very proud of our Indians this year, they are having a great season and are expected to have many great seasons to come, thanks to the outstanding peewee program we have in place. I'm sorry you have such bad blood with every single Peebles fan. But we won't be going anywhere anytime soon! :aaaaa63

A BIG congrats to Blake on breaking the Peebles High School all-time scoring record. What an accomplishment! And one that will probaby never even be remotely attainable by anyone else. Not in my lifetime for sure.

I don't know how old you are or how your health is but I think this could be a goal for any of our young Peebles athletes. While I agree it's rare lets encourage our young ones!

Yes, sparky he is a 7th grader. I'm sure he is the leading scorer for that team. He has a different playing style than Blake but he is looking really tough so far.

**Forgot to put his name lol. It's Beau Justice.

Beau is one heck of a point guard...and playing pickup games against Blake and Brett Justice your whole life is a good way to hone your skills...

Justice had 24
Seaman had 26
Dont let justice's point total fool you #10 gaurded him man to man and held him to 10 or 12 points for the game but when green went to zone Justice hit 3 or 4 three's.
Good defensive game 10 i was very impressed.
