One of the 1981 state championship players passed away last night, Eric Mahoney , he has been fighting for some years to get healthy but this never happened, I worked with the man for years, From Ironton the Nelsonville York family has our prayers, God be with you Eric

Juicebox, just curious what you are basing this off of? I have a grandson in NY's class that is going into their senior year and have followed them for a long time. They have beat Athens EVERY time they have played them from little bucks to jr high and even jv. And by at least 50 points each time.juicebox wrote:Fall off this year dropping to the bottom half. Varsity football isn't about one class, it's about how good you are with the combination of three classes and sometimes freshmen.SEOFBFAN wrote:Juicebox, just curious what you are basing this off of? I'm pretty sure NY crushed the class of 2013 from Athens as well all the way up though, but once you added Burrow's sophomore class at the time - that week 10 game was completely different.
That is an extreme example because Burrow's class was so special, but the same concept applies. How well do three or sometimes even four classes come together as a team is what you will see every fall. You can't draw conclusions based on one group of kids.

Who are NY's key losses going into next season? I personally think it'll be tough for the Bucks to keep the train rolling but I do have faith in their GREAT coaching staff
Re: 2017 Nelsonville-York Buckeyes
Ny will be fine. That senior class is pretty solid. Really stacked at skill positions. If the line comes along they could be heading to the playoffs again.
