Re: Tom Metters in need of prayers
Got to know Tom thru his coverage of the American Legion State Tourney in Athens for many years.
He is the master of sports trivia, ask him any question, and he usually had the correct answer.
And he always offered to buy me a rootbeer float the next time he saw me.
Here's hoping for a quick recovery Tom.

Prayers from the Webb household. Got to know Tom over the past several years and he is truly a class guy and an outstanding sportswriter. Get well soon!
Re: Tom Metters in need of prayers
Prayers to Tom & God's speed from the Caudill's. I am proof that prayers are answered.
I had a kidney infection, from a minor foot surgery (yes foot surgery) which led to total kidney failure back in July. Cost me a great teaching job in Auburn, Alabama, and later Dr.'s would not allow me to coach basketball this season.
I know what it's like. Hang in there it's a long road to recovery. I have learned that the kidenys' are the slowest organ/s in the human body to heal, but they do heal just listen to your Dr.s.

Re: Tom Metters in need of prayers
Just wanted to add my name to the list of people praying for Tom. Coach Maddox and myself ran into him last Sunday morning at the Cool Spot eating a late breakfast while on our way to the tournament draw. Tom always has time to talk, and he always wishes us luck. He is just a class individual. People like Tom, Jottings, Craig Dunn, and my friend Bill Robinson have carried the torch for high school athletics for many decades. The Warrior program wishes him a speedy recovery.

Coach, thank you for the information! I wish you would pass along to Tom that I am praying for
him and he is certainly in our thoughts.
Tom is one of the dearest friends to high school sports in southeastern Ohio and has been for years. He was the athletes' best friend even back when you and I played and was such a champion of not only the Bulldogs but all the rest of us in southeast Ohio.
Thanks again for letting us know!

Tom Metters has done SO MUCH for high school sports in what pink floyd calls below the Lancaster/Dixon line. He always has a kind word to say, wishes your team good luck and shows class.
Tom, our thoughts and prayers are with you for a speedy and full recovery.

Prayers for Tom from the carbon_dated household. Known him for many a year and wish him a speedy recovery. Hopefully, he's able to make it home, get some rest, and be ready for the tournament games.
Thanks for keeping us posted Gibby. Please let us know when he makes it home. Those kidney infections are to be taken serious. Get well Tom.
