Re: No Peebles Fans Tonight
Nice post chitwood. I have a lot of respect for fans who stand behind their teams and don't bash other fans in rough times. Peebles is lucky to have you for all the work and time you put in for them.
Re: No Peebles Fans Tonight
stephen you can't bash a guy one minute and say he doesn't support his team then dog him the next for saying great things about his team....hopefully you'll get the chip off your shoulder one of these days and just support your team and quit bashing everyone else.

However, as I have stated before, I would be ashamed of my spelling/grammar if I wrote some of the negative comments like some I have read against the Indians. Guess it just goes to show that maybe PHS does have better character in all aspects of our game (from the players to students to graduates to fans!) Good Luck Indains. We do not need to stumble so far down to some underachievers level of argument!
Sorry freethrow...gotta do it. You spelled Indians incorrectly...lol

Same here Jimmy.
Re: No Peebles Fans Tonight
yes, we are all here, just as we were tonight and have been all year.......a sea of red....standing room only at home crowds and most of the time bigger crowds on the road than the home team.....go INDIANS!!!!
Re: Be Proud INDIANS
Peebles has not had back-to-back winning seasons since, what...2002 & 2003? Last year's team was the first to win 17 games since 1993...we haven't had 19 wins since the 1984 team, which also had a heartbreakingly close loss last game of the season... Andrew Seaman gets his 1,000 point, Blake hits 1500 and sets a new scoring record. We've not had 2 1,000 point scorers on the same team since 1956, and we haven't had two that would EVENTUALLY go on to score 1,000 since 1981 (anyone know who they were, without cheating by checking the website?)
At the end of the documentary someone says "we have to get the old magic back," and I'd say these 12 guys have brought it back in force. Thanks for a great season.

Great post jchitwood. I agree wholeheartedly that the Indians have brought back the magic in Peebles. That was a terrific season to be a part of. Lets get ready for a good tournament run!!
Re: Be Proud INDIANS
last night's loss could very well be the best thing that could happen to peebles going in to the tournament. and the worst thing that could happen to north adams. all undefeated teams face a couple of major obstacles like complacency and self imposed pressure. this loss should make them angry and hungry which are two important ingredients to winning especially come tournament time. also humility is important and an unexpected loss can definitely humble a team and even it's fans. the bubble burst and now what do you do about it?
strong teams rise up and weak teams fold. a teams PHD should come out of this. PROUD, HUNGRY, AND DETERMINED.
philosophy class is over.

Re: Be Proud INDIANS
I agree Sparky, while that loss was hard to swallow, I believe we will have the PHD you spoke of come tomorrow night.
I hate that we lost, I wanted it for the boys, they wanted it so badly and they worked so hard all year. As we all know its very difficult to have a perfect season and to get so close....well its just bittersweet. 19-1 is an amazing accomplishment and any team that can achieve that should be proud. There is no such thing as an easy win in the tourney, we take nothing for granted. Go Indians!

BE PROUD INDIANS KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. I KNOW WE LOST TO MANCHESTER BUT WE HAVE ALOT TO LEARN FROM THAT LOST. IT'S TOURNAMENT TIME NOW LETS GET FOCUSED AND PLAY HARD. MANCHESTER SHOW US THAT IF YOU PLAY HARD TIL THE BUZZER GOES OFF IT PAYS OFF IN THE END. GOOD LUCK FRIDAY
Re: Be Proud INDIANS
someone better hurry up and shut this thread down. too many peebles fans agreeing with me. next thing you know someone will want a group hug. all kidding aside, which would you rather have if you had to choose, a gold ball or a long tournament run? first goal-undefeated season.(doesn't happen very often,) second a winning season (accomplished), third league championship(accomplished), fourth, final four, regional finals or regional appearance,(?).

I would just like to say that the Indians have nothing to hang there heads on they have a had great season and maybe it was good for them to lose 1 before tourney, if I was a betting man I would say that the Indians will make it to the Regionals. So Congrats Indians and Good Luck through the Tourney.
