When Eastern played SV last year, I came away impressed with Tibbs. Somehow Eastern has to find a way to slow him down. I think he's a bad match-up for Eastern.
That said, this is exactly the same Eastern team that won last year so maybe lightning will strike twice.
I wouldn't be surpised if either team came away with the win.

Have seen Eastern but have not seen Symmes Valley this year. Eastern is a very good team that is well coached. I have been told that Symmes Valley is very talented. Eastern is one of the two best teams I have seen this year, the other being Oak Hill. I have to take Eastern in this one but I am not sure how the game will go.

I have a question for you 3. With SG entering the TVC next season why are you rooting for teams to beat teams who are in the TVC? Just asking.

They are just acting like every other team in the TVC-Hocking...They hate each other! Read some of their threads!!

The TVC-Ohio is full of love for one another in out of conference and tournament play...but for some reason the Hocking is quite opposite!

Since your bringing it up, I'm guessing you have heard that on more than one occasion...lol. Anyway, I'm still sticking to my original prediction. SV by 5. Not sure how good the Guthrie boy is from trimble, but I believe SV just beat them by 30. Either way this should be an exciting game, looking forward to seeing it.

Eastern's tallest player is 6'0.......I recall back in the Cozart days he had big man Dill and Cross who had to be 6'6 and 6'5 listed as 6'3.....they were huge.

No way Howzee takes a 19-1 team and loses in the sectional. Unless he gets double T'd and has to leave early. But like ole Mo said few refs have the stones to T Howzee one, let alone twice. He will out coach any coach in the SOC. Eastern by as many as Howzee wants them to win by.

I'm sure no one thought that Norm Persin would take #1 seeded oak hill into the sectional championship and get beat either. Probably the best coach in the area. Anything can happen in the tourny. I'm gonna go with the Vikings in a close, rough, and emotional game. This is to get to the convo!!! Let's go Vikings!!!

i just dont see this being close from what ive seen from both teams this year.....Reedsville by 20

Tibbs struggles under pressure.. and takes very, very sloppy shots. Howie is an absolute mastermind when it comes to shutting down big-time players, so there's no doubt in my mind the Eagles defense will contain him. Eastern plays too good of team defense and team offense for symmes valley to win this game. SV did well against Trimble because they shut down guthrie--with about 90 fouls that werent called. Lets see them shut down every player 1-8 on the Eagles. And in case anyone hasn't seen this team, any player will explode for 20 on a given night. Program lists the tallest at 6'... I'd have to say thats pretty accurate. But then again, size doesn't matter when you play together.

SV has spurts where they get hot, but lets remember there's a reason why they only won 10 games this year. When they aren't lighting it up from the floor, they are taking very poor shots and not making great decisions with the basketball.

If I was easterns great coach you all speak of I'd be more worried about Taylor. He will dominate the boards and get easy putbacks. I think Symmes Valley is peaking right now, which is exactly how it should be.

Howzee will have his team ready to shut down your scorers. All the players have to do is go out and do what He tells them to do if they can. Don't worry about Howzee's coaching.
