I have to work today and am not going to be there to cheer on our Lady Spartans. Don't know anything about Portsmouth-West, but would be happy with any info you can give me, and any possible updates during the game. Work hard and bring it home Lady Spartans, we want to watch you in the District Finals at the Convo.

Trimble is under a level 2 snow emergency.

Trimble and Alex are in opposite corners of the county, about 35 to 40 minutes apart. Trimble must have gotten hit hard last night. Fed Hock boys are playing today, so I'd expect Alex girls to play as well.

West made a great comeback, taking a 2 point lead with 10 seconds left. Alexander responded with a shot with a second left to send the game to OT...Alexandar was able to get the advantage in OT and hold on for a 43-40 victory.


This was a great game to watch....The effort put out by both teams was great...what HS basketball is all about.

Just got home from this game. WHAT A GAME!!! Portsmouth West should be extremely proud of these young ladies. They really played with a lot of heart and energy! They left it all out there on the court.

Very good game to watch. #22 from Portsmouth West was impressive and if I read the program right is a freshman. If that's true West should be extremely optimistic about the next 3 years.
Alexander really hung tough and gutted out the win. They overcame foul trouble and a gritty opponent. Congratulations on a hard fought win.

If your aunt had you know what she'd be your uncle, and if thats the road you want to go down then if Alexander makes their lay ups in the first half this game would have been over in the first 16 minutes not to mention they played with 2 starters and the 6th man on the bench that fouled out half way through the fourth quarter and oh yeah I dont think that Alexander lit it up from the foul line either. It's tournament time and there is no room for "ifs". Give Alexander some credit for another unbelievable defensive effort! Those girls play so hard and dont have as much talent as a lot of other teams. Good Luck at the Convo and keep playin hard Lady Spartans. The TVC is rooting for you!!
